Future first lady Melania Trump has no plans to move into the White House come January, the New York Post reported Sunday.

The former model, 46, and son Barron, 10, plan to continue living in the Trump Tower penthouse so the fourth-grader can stay at the private school he attends, the Post reported.

?Melania is extremely close to Barron, and they have become closer during the campaign,? a source close to Trump?s transition team told the Post. ?The campaign has been difficult for Barron, and she is really hoping to keep disruption to a minimum.?

When a family moves for a job, the entire family moves. It might be difficult for the kid to move to a new school in the middle of the school year, but kids do this all the time. He will have to move eventually so why not just do it now?

When I went to work for Playboy they moved me from Phoenix to Sacramento. I moved first and lived here on my own for three months while I searched for a house and then went through the process of buying one. It was horrible. I was without my wife and didn't get to see my kid for weeks at a time. We tried to make trips on weekends (and a Phoenix Forum) but it was just horrible.

Not sure why anyone would want to go through this for six months.

That's not true, every President has moved into the White House except for the first, George Washington, who couldn't because it didn't exist yet. The first home of the President and the federal government was New York City, then moved to Philadelphia where it stayed until the White House in Washington was built, it took 8 years to build.

My kids' mom's father moved and after the school year finished up, she and her mother joined him. I know two other people in similar situations right now. If you think it's uncommon, you're as retarded as most of us already think you are.

Actually it is true in the same sense as Trumps situation. It's little known. There was a Historian who focused solely on Presidents on PBS the night of the election talking about it. I'll have to dig him up (if I can figure out his name) to see if he's written anything about it online. I remember him talking about President Cleveland (I think) who had a really young wife who had a lot of animals so they technically lived in a farm house not far from the capital.
