How do Fake News Sites Make Money?

Not much in the adult biz anymore so I am not around very much. But if anyone has the answer to my question they are here.

Fake news sites are really in the news. These guys claim to make huge $$$.

https://www.thestar.com/news/world/2...upporters.html

I understand the 10s of millions of clicks. But who is actually spending money out of their pockets?

On the fake news sites I see ads for acne treatment, nude celebrities and other shit, that I can't believe make money.

Thoughts?

Advertising. Google ads will soon be banning them & I think Facebook already has.

clicks are $$$. It is popular to earn revenue per click in mainstream. Also pay per lead, pay per sale etc.
So in a nutshell fake news site will earn the same way as lets say a tmz site would earn if they put up the same acai or whatever ads. Or any site for that matter, fake news site (if it gets real visitors) is no specific type of site in terms of how you earn money from ads.

bronco67 11-21-2016 08:03 PM

I would guess millions of morons visit daily.

mineistaken 11-21-2016 08:08 PM

Check out CPA networks to get the idea. Check out CJ.com or shareasale.com to see how many different products you can promote, different pay schemes etc. Not to mention basic google adsense (unless it is banned on fake news sites).

Whenever I go to one of those sites theres sooo many ads loading up with videos and javascript the page takes forever to load. I usually leave after 4 seconds lol

Fake news sites like CNN, MSNBC etc. have it easy. Because they are so big their fake news is seen as true by people who are easily mesmerized by 'authority'. People see these fake news sites as a news authority, and because of this undeserved public trust these media companies set the standard of what will appear in the media. The elections for instance: Bashing one candidate 24/7 while almost keeping quiet about the other is not a reflection of reality - the candidate who was ultimately chosen as president is undeniable proof of that. It's an alternate fake world they fabricate to influence you, the voting cattle. These media corporations are the pinnacle of fake news.

fake news sites convert the best out of anything. Just look at old tv infomercials they always are setup to look like a news cast. But to keep it short they make $$ by cloaking. FB admins see one landing page and surfers see another thing.

On CNN you pay direct for your fake news article to be reported

"According to Amber Lyon, a three-time Emmy award winning journalist, CNN is routinely paid by the US government and foreign governments to selectively report on certain events. Furthermore, the Obama administration pay CNN for editorial control over some of their content."

clicks = $$$$
it does not matter how you generate traffic, even if its fake/satire news site.
it does not matter, if adsense bans such sites, if they have traffic then there is always other ad networks willing to buy ad spots for exposure.

tpb is still alive and still making money.
2 cents.

There's a future in quackery.
Look at the Quacker in Chief ...

Mickey_ 11-22-2016 05:55 AM

They don't. Fake news sites get revenue from pre-paid news item placements on the top 15 spaces and banners. The rest of the news items are free placements.

:winkwink:

j3rkules 11-22-2016 06:10 AM

They have traffic and can get many clicks so some ad companies will be happy to pay for them.

yuu.design 11-22-2016 07:22 AM

clicks clicks & million more clicks

Link me to an example -- I am curious ...
What kind of "news"? More fake news as click-bait for more ads?
A Fake News CJ?

Between you and I here's his Facebook page https://m.facebook.com/paulissuperawesome he's made as much as $10k in a day after a story went viral, not $10k a month https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.was...ndroid-verizon. The Washington Post was writing about him 2 years ago, this is nothing new.

No, those are partisan slanted news sites. that is a huge difference from news sites that report flat out lies. I know you want to believe they are all full of lies but its not the same thing. The difference is you can read through slant and still figure out what the actual news is, on the fake news sites its all made up from unidentified sources etc. and they are never accountable when they are flat out wrong.

I am aware of that -- using Faceboob [sic *funny typo ;=)] and buying ads.

I am talking about web pages with paid news stories as a revenue source.

I am thinking of starting the TCB network.

(Totally) (Correct Corrupt Concise __OTHER__) (Broadcast) Network

The TCB Network :)

Real News for Real People

National Report | America's #1 Independent News Source is a parody news site
At least a person with reasonable intelligence could discern that fact :2 cents:
Trump to Nominate Chris Christie to Supreme Food Court | National Report LOL
