How long until someone uses a 3D printer to make

another 3D printer?

Or even just use a cheap 3D printer to make a really expensive 3D printer?

I remember when I purchased my first CD and asked how long will it be until I can record on it. Funny thing is that I was told by everyone that it was impossible.

Obviously, the irony and my sarcasm of pointing it out escaped you ...

There was one open source 3D printing that did just this.

You bought and printed parts to build another and passed it along to someone else who was to do the same thing...after buying the needed components to power and run it. But the structure was all reprinted by the initial printer and passed along.

Here's your fucking college courses.

The 3D printers that print themselves: how RepRap will change the world | TechRadar

So is arrogance part of engineering science curriculum?

what is the point? you still need to add the electronic side. just like printing a gun it still needs the mechanisms added

5th Law of Robots.
No robot shall build another robot unless directed to do so by a human. Any robot who acts autonomously in an unsupervised manner and assembles another robot autonomously-- shall suffer the penalty of disassembly and memory erasure.
