What's the most amount of cash you held in your hand at one time?

I have a few answers:

The real: Had about 8k to buy a car

The dream: Found about 1/2 a mil in a suitcase by the river.

The troll: I once found a wallet it had 25 bucks in it.

Realtors in Argentina take cash only.

I used to go to storage unit auctions which are all cash auctions and you can't leave to get cash and come back so most people take as much as they are willing to spend that day with them. On several occasions, I had $5K cash on me. I always felt nervous walking around with that kind of cash in my pocket, especially on the days where there were several auctions around the city.

It was very common in my country too, I bought a couple apartments the same way couple years ago, 70k eur changed hands in case of the most expensive one. Everyone wanted cash, until they banned it by law and any sum above 5k has to go through a bank.

escorpio 11-29-2016 04:30 PM

25k. Am I still a baller if it wasn't mine?

ilnjscb 11-29-2016 04:41 PM

60k for a vendor payment - still cry about that. Back in the day you could get out as much as you wanted, I've held 25k many times. Now though, way less cash is used. There is literally nothing like that feeling. well, I guess if you are carrying gold.

ErectMedia 11-29-2016 04:46 PM

Does my ass count too? You simply can't walk through Customs with 100K in your hands...

Rochard 11-29-2016 05:48 PM

Cash? $5k.

One time we had a Lightspeed partner fly into town to do some business with us, and I wanted to impress him. We both had a "thing" for the Lightspeed girl, who just happened to work as a stripper. I pulled out $5k mostly in flash money.

So were there at the strip club and I asked this girl "how much for one night of anything I want"? She said $5k and I pulled out $5k on the spot. The look on her face was fucking priceless.

Why nervous? How often are you being robbed? :)
Unless you claim that robbers would target more than usual people during auction days in hopes to get lucky :1orglaugh That would increase your chances for getting robbed from 0.00000001% to 0.00000003% :winkwink:

I was nervous for a couple of reason. First, the auctions were advertised and people knew about them so a person could easily follow you and rob you if they wanted. Second, some of the neighborhoods we went to for these auctions were kind of sketchy and you had to park away from the facility. I never had any trouble and was never even in anything I would consider danger, but still, it just isn't normal for me to carry that kind of cash on me so it made me a little nervous.

Around $3.1 million in cash and chips.

I used to work as a cashier in a Casino and had shifts in the main bank. My float was around 3.1 million on an average shift. At the end of the day, you'd count it all out and lock it away until next morning.

MainManRay 11-29-2016 06:39 PM

Check my avatar, Theres $100k there which I carried through customs in a bag much to the delight of the scanner operator....I had an invoice so all legit baby.

Now who wants to buy a dating site doing decent money? Ping me.

onwebcam 11-29-2016 07:38 PM

Have to keep cash on hand for my business. Not disclosing how much.

Oddly enough, your dream came true for my aunt. Kind of anyway. She was working for a security company that patrolled an area along the river downtown. She came across a dead body and $1 million in cash. Crazy bitch turned the shit in.

$200,000 to buy the house. The seller was deep into debt with mafia owned casinos and needed cash. Hired a bodyguard to escort me.

LOL. When I was 17 I had a part time job at a small store and the owners were so paranoid they barely trusted me to handle $150.

It was pretty crazy tbh, we had to take the money over to the bank - it was right next door and we only had to cross a parking lot. We put the moneybags in regular grocery bags and then drove them over in a shopping trolly. I remember thinking that if anyone knew, they could easily drive up in a van, snatch the cash and get away easy.

5 years later I come home from the army and see that it did not work like that anymore lol, but that's a whole different story :1orglaugh

Reminds me of a job I had years ago when I worked for Radio Shack in the late 80's early 90's. There was a guy at one of the stores who had a good day in cash sales (most people paid with a card) so there was about $2,500 in cash and he had to make the bank drop that night. He pulled into the bank parking lot, got a hatchet out of his trunk and hacked the deposit bag open. He then smashed his face into the wall a few times to cut himself then walked over and used the payphone to call 911. When the police arrived he told them he was mugged and the people that mugged him stole the cash. The problem is that he didn't see the guy across the parking lot who saw the whole thing, thought he was a crazy person who had robbed someone and called 911 himself.

haha that's awesome, I bet they also had cameras. I mean every single ATM has a camera at least in my country, most people don't know this but every time a pin is entered it takes a picture of the person entering it :1orglaugh
