Is ebay possible at all?

Damn for fuck sakes it was bad enough working under the old limits something like 30k / 15000 is where it was
Apparently new accounts are set at 1K / 10
Ten.

Now how the fuck in all hell is anyone supposed to do fuck all of anything with THAT?
I've always hated them extremely but they were at least useful

Bladewire 12-02-2016 11:40 AM

Wow they must have been lax and stuck with massive fraud and now overcompensating?

MrMaxwell 12-02-2016 11:42 AM

They ARE the massive fraud

brassmonkey 12-02-2016 11:42 AM

there are ways around that

It is pretty crazy I admit when they "freeze" even the shipping, expect you to cover that as well as sending the product without any funds. Grant it my account is well seasoned so not a concern for me but if I were new to selling there I wouldn't even consider it. In addition you can bet they will tag you for the seller fee's even if you haven't been paid. I have a sneaky suspicion they are creating fake accounts and buying listings just before monthly fee tabulation, not paying for the listing and billing the fee's before you're able to have it cancelled and credited back. Pretty sure there are a number of class action suits under consideration.

They seem to be sued at times
Then they seem to lose
Then they still don't care

The last time I sold something on Ebay they told me how much to charge for shipping and wouldn't let me charge more than that. At first, I thought the amount was fair, then I found out the actual shipping price was about twice that much. The guy at the post office told me that they get people in there all the time who are angry about Ebay not being accurate with shipping fees.

Yeah that's another one of their tricks. To combat it you have to increase weight and package size considerably. I mostly do freight and I don't use their service for that either because again it will under quote upfront and freightquote will bang your card later for additional.

Yup

Everything starts out being great and then goes to shit over time.

MrMaxwell 12-02-2016 11:40 PM

FFS ebay
It's no wonder of amazement that most people use it to build a client base anywhere but there when selling on there

It had been a while since I had used Ebay. In the past I would weigh it and use that info, but this was an old cellphone. When I typed in the model number to filled in all the information and once I put in my zip code they filled in how much shipping was. It seemed like a good amount, but later found out it was way off. In the future I will double check before listing.

I tried to order something from European seller the other day, and at the checkout Ebay tried to add +$283 in "Import Charges". Needless to say i cancelled the purchase.

I google it and came up with some shit called Ebay Global Shipping Program.

What is fuck it this? I should be paying this to my local customs office, if they stop the package, not to Ebay. :321GFY

Most of the time for me ebay is good. But sometime sales just stop. Last month I had 2 weeks with no sales. Now sales are back.

DBS.US 12-03-2016 11:05 AM

I have sold on Ebay for like twelve years with no real problems. You just need to know how to play the game. Know your shipping costs. Don't sell to outside your country. Ship with tracking numbers and insurance.
