Sometimes it doesn't take that much...thank you GFY

The past 4 years have been total shit for me. I lost my mother, my daughter, my father had cancer and has been hospitalized 5 times and I have lost at least 1-1/2 years work taking care of him.

While this was all going on 2 partnerships crashed due to them being unable to deliver what was promised, in one cases 2 years late and the products still does not work.

The Smoky Mountains are on fire which has wiped my main mainstream business off the map with all of my largest customers out of business now for years until they rebuild. A few small ones will pay a few bucks but not enough to make a difference. I am not even talking about how many friends have been wiped out as well.

I am now looking at launching another mainstream business in a completely different industry but of course it will take a while to get that going.

With all that shit going on and all the gloom and doom a few months ago, I reached out here at GFY and found a dependable designer to do some small adult projects, and I can not rave enough at how great every job given has been done right with great communication. It is a pleasure to be treated the way I treat my customers.

Life has been a dark tunnel and this has been the only light for a while.

Milk Shake...you rock!

Great song.

My favorite version, though it's difficult to choose because there are so many great versions:

Change in medications caused a seize in her sleep. 30 years old but the last 8 years of her life was a living hell.

I get the darkest before the dawn and I have had 3 horrible years back to back before and it led into the best times in my life ever. I was so grateful that I took everything I made in profit from one of my businesses and gave it back to the Smokies since 2005.

Sadly everything I donated has been destroyed in the fire (not able to be insured) and the future administration has vowed to cut funding that would close programs I either worked in (never took a dime in salary) or helped create.

I know I have some great friends who have helped me as best they can deal with all of this. Some of them like my ex girl friend from 30 years ago has helped my father in ways you can not imagine and she continues to do so almost very day.

I hope this is a lesson to all of you to not only know how great Milk Shake is, but what a difference you can make at the most mundane tasks to someone else by just doing the right thing in your day to day life, be it at work or at home.

Never forget the happy times you had, it's very sad that she was taken far too soon.

Really sorry to hear about all this. You've always been a great guy here. You will rebound. Its what we do. Its what people in the Smokies do.

I have a brother not too far from Pigeon Forge, he runs some online mainstream businesses. I can ask him if he needs anything done depending on what you do.

And yes, Milkshake rocks. He is a great guy and excellent designer. So is Loreena.

I bought my first dulcimer in Gatlinburg from a luthier back in 1973. Well, my parents did. Sweet music from a sweet place. Life is not over.

Struggle4Bucks 12-04-2016 05:25 AM
