The Sunrise Registration for trademark holders has closed on the 5th of December, 2016 (10:00:00 UTC).

The .CAM registry will be selling names during the Early Access Program in partnership with the below listed registrars.

The Early Early Access Program retail prices are set by each registrar so prices will vary. This will be a Dutch auction and will work like this for each of the registrars (listed below);

Each day 7 -13 (ending the following day at 9:45:00 UTC), December the EAP registration surcharge will be reduced -- with the registration prices decreasing.

On 14, December at 9:45:00 UTC Open Access Registration will commence at the registrars' normal registration pricing (about $25 to $35/year).

We have a lot of brandable names that are not dictionary words -- at Open Access prices -- domain names that are simple, catchy words or phrases that you can use to build their online identity around. Most of the time they are made-up words ... They contain the cam name in the extension adding EMD possibilities and offering "top-of-mind" branding to web users.

All domains will renew at the normal price after the 13th so you can buy an extra year and move them to your favorite registrar (if they are a participating Registrar later).

The good names will go first.

Most "trademark" domain names are for sale if they were not reserved as called for under the ICANN Sunrise TMCH rules.

I find no mention of .cam on my registrar (namecheap), would like to pick up some nice names. :)

all nice and relevant names are already reserved and will be auctioned for big bucks...

Namecheap is only participating in the GA (open registration) apparently.

*Open Access was meant to be stated as General Access (too many acronyms).

As far as the mechanics of it;

• The Registry sets its wholesale price to the Registrars who in turn mark up the retail price to the end buyer.
• The Registry is obligated to the ICANN terms of Sunrise and TMCH rules for registered trademark reservation.
• The are certain restrictions imposed on each registry, uniformly, with regard to the reservation of certain ccTLD names as SLD (A.K.A.: Domain names) SLD.TLD.

These are the last hours of the .cam Early Access Program (EAP) and the last 2 days have the lowest EAP Landrush add-on price for Open Access domain names and Premium names.

On December 14, 2016 (10:00:00 UTC) General availability (GA) Open Access domain names will commence First come, first served.

Retail registrar pricing seems to be in the $29 - $47 range depending on the registrar.

The way I priced that premium name's wholesale price the retail should be 1/10 of that price (maybe $13K?). The Registrar sets the retail price ... Try another registrar.

1st year is premium price, following years are the normal name price.

that was from namecheap. says that much per year? i tried ghandi and they want even more 115k. networksolutions says 90k. if the wholesale price is 1/10 jacking it up so much shouldn't be allowed. just guarantees it will never sell and you'll never make money off it. again, one of the many problems with these new gtlds.

Someone just informed me that a name that I do not believe, to the best of my knowledge, to have not being made premium is now being claimed premium by a database error EPP response (Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP)) to a registrar.

This may be affecting the pricing also.

Would you pay $970K for nude.com? rhetorical ...

This issue is being looked into with the intent of resolving the same -- you are right however -- nude.cam will not go fast at that price -- I agree. You probably can buy it for less if you wait. I would really like to see some websites that are .cam and some success stories for the brand.
