Trump said the election was rigged so let's investigate.
It doesn't matter. Eventually Trump will be impeached. |
Group Sues to Demand Florida Recount of Donald Trump Election | Miami New Times
Protect Our Elections, a liberal-leaning group based in Washington, D.C., says more than 160,000 votes in Florida weren't counted during last month's presidential election. The group claims each of those votes matters a great deal because Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton by 112,911 votes in the Sunshine State. Trump won by roughly 1.5 percent, a margin high enough to avoid the state's automatic-recount provisions. But last Friday, Protect Our Elections sued the state to contest the election, possibly throwing President-elect Trump's transition into an even greater state of turmoil. The vote totals do not include "tens of thousands" of legal votes that weren't counted because of alleged vote-machine malfunctions, but do include "tens of thousands of illegal votes that were improperly counted." According to the suit, 0.75 percent of the statewide votes were deemed "invalid" in the 2008 and 2012 elections. This year, 1.67 percent of the votes were invalidated. |
You just don't get it ... I can see billions of dollars in losses coming with this Trump administration.
An inevitable recession regardless of who was elected and possible international violent conflicts. Quit sweating the small stuff. I just read a rumor of the new Department of Labor Secretary choice -- CKE Restaurants New McLabor boss may be the CEO of CKE Restaurants, the parent company of Carl?s Jr. and Hardee?s. Another great "victory" of the *Red-Hats* . |

Trump bitched for months that the election is rigged. Now you call the people who want to find out troublemakers and costing all sorts of money. Please. Trump would have sued every state to recount and you know it. |

Florida voters sue for recount
Three central Florida voters are mounting a bid to overturn the presidential election result in the Sunshine State. In a lawsuit filed Monday in Leon Circuit Court, they assert that Hillary Clinton, not Donald Trump, actually won Florida. The plaintiffs, who live in Osceola and Volusia counties, say the state?s official election results were off because of hacking, malfunctioning voting machines and other problems. They're asking for a hand recount of every paper ballot in Florida, at the expense of defendants including Trump, Gov. Rick Scott and the 29 Republican presidential electors from Florida. |

Honestly, I'd be surprised if Hillary won FL. There is a reason the meme "Florida Man" exists because there are a shit load of dumb ass rednecks in FL. Also FL was the only state in my Travels I actually saw shit loads of Trump signs and barely any Hillary signs. Added bonus, FL has been gerrymandered to fuck and back because the state has had Republican majority leadership for decades. They have fucked this state back and forth then side ways for years and fucking idiots here whom still make $7/hr keep voting them in office. Idiots here will tell you "dem Democrats will raise ur taxes" meanwhile they are paying above average price for fuel and 3-7k in property taxes every fucking year. The license plates cost you $150-200 for your car then around 40-60 yearly. They have to get a permit to build a picnic bench but yea them Republicans keep their taxes down! Democrats bad! Also there are more fucking cops in this state than in Texas, yet they never seem to keep crime down but manage to write shitloads of traffic tickets.. |
The Establishment won't give up.

Arguably one of the worst threads on GFY right now. No substance, bad content. Instead of actually listening to a good podcast you all want to keep shit posting about a recount that won't happen.

Another suit against Florida filed late yesterday, this one by reform candidate candidate De La Fuente citing election fraud.
This one is interesting because Florida has such unusual laws, for example, if the number of ballots & votes don't match in a precinct the precinct CANNOT be recounted. ------ http://www.einnews.com/pr_news/35683...uit-in-florida Snipes allegedly committed acts and omissions that served as the direct and proximate cause of massive absentee ballot election fraud within Broward County in the 2016 Florida general election. De La Fuente?s complaint is based upon a sworn affidavit submitted by a temporary employee of the Supervisor of Elections for Broward County who publicly alleged that she witnessed defendant Snipes? employees engaged in absentee voter fraud by systematically filling out blank ballots in a locked room. The suit seeks to enjoin Detzner from applying Title IX, Chapter 102, Section 166 of the Florida Statutes, which fails to provide any review upon an allegation of election fraud. The statute prevents a recount from occurring unless the vote margin between the top two competitors is less than .25%. As such, De La Fuente?s complaint asserts that the statute deters the discovery of election fraud and encourages massive election fraud because the larger the fraud the more likely that the election results will not be within the .25% margin. |

You're right, it's amazing how Floridiands continually voted against their interest. The Miami mayor is forbidden from mentioning global warming, as they install the water pumps to combat the constant new wave of flooding. Insane. Criminal Imagine what America would be like without gerrymandering & the Electoral college. |
The problem is they're trying to make it so the electoral votes aren't counted. That will fail because the House of Reps decides how to handle those cases. They'll allow the votes. The democrats imagine that will "taint" Trump's presidency with illegitimacy but it won't. Only they'll think that, as they always have. His supporters will think it was dirty tricks, as they always have, especially when the recounts eventually prove he was due the electoral votes.
The whole "russians did it" thing and these recounts are really embarrassing. I guess the democrats really are worse off than I thought. |

What is happening is not democracy, it's outright theft of elections in this state. They couldn't block it with Obama because he simply had way too fucking much support, but in unpopular elections with candidates like we just saw it works well. IMO the supreme court needs to go and reset all the districts. Let them feed the info into a computer based on population and let it randomly redaw all the districts based on population "only" like it should be.. These govt officials IMO whom are doing this gerrymandering should be lined up and shot for treason to democracy. |

Jill Stein is the Green Parties 2016 Presidential nominee, she's not a Democrat. De La Fuente is the Reform Parties 2016 Presidential nominee, he's not a Democrat. Both candidates ran on election reform & mentioned recounts & voting integrity months ago. Neither candidate spearheading recounts & filing suits is Democrat. This is not a Democrat led movement, it's a reform party & green party movement. Get your facts straight. |
My grandfather retired in Florida from NYC.
I remember him telling me as a boy that the politicians in Florida were crooked and the Doctors incompetent -- seems he was right on the first point at least :2 cents: |
politicians every where are crooked... that's why "honest politician" is an amusing oxymoron... :thumbsup

I'm sure he meant MORE crooked than most ...
