Electors take anti-Trump battle to court on constitutional rights
The movement is strong and this is one of 28 suits to be filed this week freeing the elite Electors to vote their conscious, as is their constitutional right. How do you think it will turn out for them? Freedom of speech or forced to "vote" against their will?
----- Electors take anti-Trump battle to court - POLITICO In the legal filing, obtained by POLITICO, lawyers for Baca and Nemanich argue that Colorado's statute is flatly unconstitutional because the Founding Fathers intended presidential electors to have free will when casting their votes ? and to consider the popular vote as merely advisory. Two presidential electors in Colorado are heading to court Tuesday to try and boost their extreme long-shot gambit to stop Donald Trump from officially being elected president when the Electoral College votes on Dec. 19. Democratic electors Polly Baca and Robert Nemanich are filing suit in federal court to overturn a state law that forces them to support the winner of Colorado's presidential popular vote, in this case Hillary Clinton. But a successful bid, they say, would undermine similar laws in 28 other states, empowering Republican electors in those states to reject Trump. |
LOL.
Just one more frenzied delusion that will go no where. |
Good!! Very, very good.

This will need Certiorari and need to be decided in the US Supreme Court.
So a TRO will have to issue or a leave granted to Appeal -- this might take months. Quote:

I can't wait for this nonsense to end in 2 weeks, but I suspect even after he is 100% officially elected, you guys even then won't let it go... :2 cents: |

and I doubt Trump supporters would hang on to it for so long... I'm pretty sure they would have figured: "for months we've been told that a Trump win is a long shot, it didn't work out, oh well..." and so they would have pretty quickly moved on with their lives... :2 cents: |
The US constitution 12th says that they have to vote -- that's it.
