I had a discussion with a cam girl about it. it kind of went this way:

Me: But the fetus is not part of your body
Cam Girl: It is INSIDE me. I can do whatever I want because it is inside me
Me: It means you can cut off a guys's dick when he has his cock INSIDE your mouth?

Me: "give two fucks"

Republicans care so much about every poor person's unborn child, like they're all god's precious little gifts.

Once they come into the world, it's another welfare baby stealing their tax dollars.

pretty decent arguments... common argument to support abortion however is as follows:

imagine that one day you wake up and find yourself hooked up to another person by some tube... you didn't plan on it, you didn't consent to it, you even have no idea how it happened, but somehow it did...if you disconnect the tube, the other person will die... do you have the right to disconnect it and let the other person die? or are you obligated to keep the other person alive?

It's not a person, it's tissue for most of it's existence inside your womb WOJ.

This is a Very Tough topic and there's absolutely no easy answer to most abortion-related question/issues.

Let me tell you my story from more than a decade ago: after being with her for 6 years I broke up with my girlfriend. We met here and there under the year after the breakup, and I received The "we need to talk" Phone Call. So after work I met her and she told me she is pregnant. The upcoming 2 days were the days when I grew up. Of course we were both frightened, we were not planning a baby, we were not living as a couple, whatsoever. I am a PsyHead and therefore - no matter how scared I was - I told her on the morning of the third day that "let's do this" and in a month or two we were living together in a neat and cozy flat, preparing for the birth of my daughter. She will be 10 years old on the upcoming Christmas day [born of 25th Dec :pimp]. And we live as a very happy family since, we had another baby 3 years later. We even got married last summer. :pimp Life is Beautiful

He postulates, falsely, that we are always obligated to do whats moral. That isn't the case. Especially in utilitarianism. I, personally, have always adopted what I coined "life boat ethics." If you got off a sinking ship and you are in a life boat that seats 20 safely, and 10 people are swimming towards your boat, help them aboard. Once you are at capacity it now becomes moral to do what's immoral. If 20 people are trying to get in a raft already filled with 20 people, well, I'm justified morally and within the confines of my conscience to take the oars and start crowing people to save myself and others aboard. I'm pro choice, it's an inconvenient way to do what must be done sometimes. If there was a way to take the 15 week fetus out of the mothers womb and transplat into a baron one, I don't even think it would be a topic. So we are really just limited by science, not morals, nor what's right, wrong or gods law or mans law.
