HTTPS for streaming sites
I would like to upgrade my streaming site to HTTPS. The videos are not hosted on my server but on xvideo, youporn, etc. Those sites are HTTP.
HTTPS websites can not play imbedded content from HTTP sites (that would be insecure). I'm pretty sure other webmasters here have ran into this issue. What should one do? What I've thought of so far are: * Delay it until those streaming site implement it * Implement only HTTPS imbeds (if possible) * Host my own videos (idk the rules for this or the technical aspects) Any help? |
Have you tried an iframe embed?

Just use a good proxy like squid-cache. Features/HTTPS - Squid Web Proxy Wiki
You can tunnel it through there, but that also mean your servers will get the traffic load - so if you dont like to pay for the BW, then its a dead end. |
It is the matter of time till they implement it, xhamster has already done that.
