Google bouce rate went up

Note: Made the same thread, but in the wrong forum..

I updated my template on my website hardcoreteenfuck.com and since then the reaction where rather good, all bouce rates went down about 10, 15% ( referral, campains etc..). Only drawback is that the organic bounce rate went up about 30%... I don't really understand this so anyone has experienced something like this before?

Any suggestions appreciated and a nice day to you folks.

Your site is very slow https://gtmetrix.com/reports/hardcor...k.com/SOgkmf4Z

:2 cents:

Are you sure it is caused directly by the theme update?

thanks for the suggestions, I just started scaling the images a bit smaller for some thumbnails, but aside that I don't see what I could do to speed things up. And yes I'm sure that it's since the template change.

Toggle fullscreen doesnt work.

Terrible layout (my opinion)

bns666 12-19-2016 07:30 AM

did it affect organic traffic too?

Are you filtering out referral spam? Vitaly has been up to some shit again recently, generating lots of false hits that usually log as bounces.

See how many bounces you're getting from Samara, Russia.

Thanks that got corrected, but it seems that wankez doesn't allow to toggle to fullscreen, great, searching for embed that allow fullscreen again...

Can I ask you what is so terrible about the layout? Would interest me to know more about that.

it did, but in the opposite way.

It would seem unlikely that your template change accounted for such an increase in bounce rate in one channel if all the other channels showed a drop. I had a similar issue recently and my figures just were not making sense and then noticed that my analytics was being spammed. You can set up filters so that you get a more accurate reading and it is worth taking the time out to set them up. I've only got my head around it so would do it an injustice if I tried to explain it here but just search for "filtering out spam in google analytics" and you will find the information you need.

of course if you are seeing increased traffic in one channel then that will more likely have a higher bounce rate - 35% of 2,000 visitors is better than 25% of 1,000. But a difference of 30% in a short period of time looks more likely to be some other issue than a true reflection of your sites activity.
