If customer buys with Epoch, can CCBill affiliate still get credit?
Can some please provide details on this, how to setup etc
Thanks:thumbsup |
yes! If the Epoch is set up with their ccbill then it doesn't matter if the sale is done with epoch or ccbill. A lot of people put epoch as the first biller and then ccbill.
I know I've made sales with programs like this and got my ccbill money and rebills every time. I don't know how you set it up but ccbill would be able to help you set it up if you are starting a pay site. |

Thanks SBJ and GSpot :thumbsup
Does it work if you show CCBill and Epoch side by side as a choice to the customer? Asking for a friend |

He is 100% right. Look for a setup that is called "cascading". Sadly, neither from the Epoch nor the CCBill staff will be much of a help though. The other solution is to use Sliiing :-) |

Just have a look here : https://kb.ccbill.com/Cascade+Setup+for+Epoch+Users
Your customer will find all the required information. |

Does it work side by side too? |
Hey Porko, thanks for the mention...and yes you are correct.
Here is some information on Cascading Billing in NATS: NATS4 Cascade - TMMwiki Any questions, feel free to hmu |
The answer, from the company who came up with the CASCADING BILLING idea, and introduced it in MPA3 in the early 2000s - YES. :thumbsup

Great thread.
Question: if you get to the Epoch payment page of a CCBILL site, is it possible to verify if the sale is going to your CCBILL affiliate account? Eg. by inspecting the source, cookies, or the redirect chain? I'm interested in the specifics. |
Just go through CCBill traffic Manager. It's really not so difficult to setup to be honest and despite what some guys might have said above, your CCBill rep will be able to help you set up the cascade using it if it seems initially daunting.
I've had it set up this way for years and all the affiliates get credit for any sale through your CCBill affiliate program, irrespective of whether the sale goes via CCbill or Epoch. |

To test it, I'm sure there's a technical tool you could use, but I just signed up myself using my own CC (i.e. an Epoch join on a CCBill traffic manager link). Then when I saw the affiliate notice come through, thats the indication you've got it set up correctly. |
Thanks for the info rastan.
As an affiliate, it would be nice to have a surefire way to verify if Epoch sales are being credited to my CCBILLL affiliate account. I think sites use various solutions - and I'm pretty certain that some have Epoch set up on the side, without routing it through CCBILL. |
