The cure for death..
Or just aging Scientists have known for some time that the four genes could turn adult cells back to their stem cell state, where they can grow into any body part. But it was always feared that allowing this to happen could damage organs made from the cells and even trigger cancer. But scientists found stimulating the genes intermittently reversed aging, without causing damaging side effects. In mice, the treatment slowed signs of aging and increased lifespan by 30 per cent. If it worked similarly in humans it could allow people to live to well beyond 100. |
Sure, let's give the elite more power.

Great I'll have to work longer to afford a 35-40 year retirement. :winkwink:

cure of death is called "common sense" or "anti-stupidity" but who wants to live forever anyway... however if we would live close to nature in continous connection with basically the cradle of our lives, the natural matrix, after a certain amount of self-improvement people could easily manage to look young for at least 2-300 ages as there's already been written record of eastern monks who's been around for such long periods of time...
problem with the fucking elite is they are seeking methods for the transposition of consciousness I guess... who would want these monsters' minds to remain alive |

But with good health and the ability to still get it up you could have endless sex |
The cells have a limited ability to split no matter how much you slow it down...They wear down over time mechanically, you can not use the same cells for ever...Upload is the only way...

American geneticists have discovered an enzyme called telomerase (it works with your Ribozymes) that restores the length of your telomeres, extending the life of the cell. They've been researching this for a few years and have extended the life of mice 30% and longer. They've been testing the research on U.S. military fighter pilots for a couple years now, the same ones that bomb you, and it's extending their lives. If the military can have each fighter pilot they train live 30% longer, it's a better investment for the military, they could keep bombing 20-30 years longer! |
