Payoneer requesting I order a new card before Dec 31st due to new card transaction management?

I got this email from Medley stating that I need to order a new card despite my current card not expiring for two more years:

Quote:

Dear Medley Affiliate,

Since you?re a very important affiliate of ours, we?re taking the initiative to inform you of an upcoming change affecting Payoneer accounts.

Your prepaid Payoneer MasterCard needs to be replaced ? please order your new card before December 31st, 2016.

Why do I need a new card? Payoneer has selected their long-standing partner, Choice Bank, to manage the card transactions for their business moving forward. Your new card will function like your existing one, and all funds will be transferred to the new card as soon as you activate it. In the meantime, you can continue to use your existing card.

How do I order my new card? Log into your Payoneer account and order your new prepaid MasterCard today, to prevent delays in accessing future payments.

Thank you,

Medley Affiliate Team
There is no way to order a new card in the admin unless your card is close to expiring.

Are they going to charge for the new card? - that would be crappy...

bns666 12-22-2016 03:42 AM

weird....

twinvisible 12-22-2016 04:09 AM

Based on that email it seems everyone would be affected if Payoneer is using Choice for all transactions.

Konda 12-22-2016 04:39 AM

It's probably for the people that currently have a WireCard Payoneer Mastercard, looks like they want to switch everyone to Choice

Not for the prepaid cards, a lot of other payment systems use Choice for their prepaid cards. If you have a Payoneer account with a card issued by Choice or Wirecard you won't notice any difference.

I don't think they charge for cards, they have a monthly fee

CrazyMartin 12-22-2016 06:21 AM

and i got the same email

should i request new card?? it's strange

bgmen 12-22-2016 06:27 AM

Once you login you'll see a warning about the new card and a link for purchasing. Easy process. And no - they don't charge for the replacement.

Denny 12-22-2016 06:35 AM

Mine is issued by Choice bank, haven't received that email.

You can't fuck with that ...

bgmen 12-22-2016 07:52 AM

I'm absolutely sure! It's free of charge because they are the initiators for replacement. My card was replaced in the beginning of the month... I didn't have any fees!

If you already have the choice bank card, you do not need to request a new one.

TheDynasty 12-22-2016 11:51 AM

They send out the new card fast got mine in a couple days!

twinvisible 12-22-2016 01:32 PM

I have the Choice Bank card and it doesn't expire until 2019 yet I still got that email. I think Medley just spammed all their users regardless of what card they have.

Payoneer requested that we reach out to all of our affiliates currently being paid by Payoneer. We do not know who does and does not have a Choice Bank card yet.

We want to make sure that after Dec 31st everyone will still be able to receive their payments :)

So, log in to your account and if you see a warning you need to get the new card - Otherwise don't worry about it - Seems OK - It might even be a good time to get a card for myself...

Do the Choice cards have chip and pin?....

Finally my new card is here. It looks pretty strange - blue card with the logo of Choice Bank Limited. Thank God, it has a chip.
