South Carolina Bill To Impose $20 Fee To Watch Internet Porn

Do you think it will pass? Computers built to disable porn unless you pay a $20 fee. Of course ISIS propaganda and gore torture death videos all over the internet don't matter, just people having sex.

"the Human Trafficking Prevention Act" such bullshit :disgust

"Beyond charging porn-viewers for the privilege" yeah like having the freedom to see what you want in America is a "privilege" :1orglaugh

South Carolina Bill To Impose $20 Fee To Watch Internet Porn

Lawmakers in South Carolina are hoping to tackle both online obscenity and human trafficking by hitting the porn industry where it hurts: in local electronics stores and individual consumers' wallets.

The proposed bill, also known as the Human Trafficking Prevention Act, would require computers, tablets, and other devices sold within the state to include a built-in porn filter, which merchants (and, ultimately, their customers) can pay $20 each to remove. Co-sponsored by Republican representatives Bill Chumley and Mike Burns, the bill was pre-filed before the South Carolina legislature's winter break, and will be revisted when sessions resume early next year.

Along with fines paid by merchants who ignore the new rule, fees from consumers who choose to remove the filter (be it for personal, professional, or journalistic reasons) would go to the state Attorney General's human trafficking task force, according to South Carolina news website Go Upstate. Beyond charging porn-viewers for the privilege, the bill would also require computer retailers and manufacturers to permanently block access to sites that offer services from sex workers or facilitate human trafficking.

This is why I don't understand how you can work in the adult industry now and vote Republican.

After Bush and the 2257 raids etc it was a wake-up call to me that who you vote for can impact your day to day life in a big way.

Trump signed the GOP anti porn pact.

pimpmaster9000 12-22-2016 10:27 AM

yeah that will stop human trafficking :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

"oh snap! 20$ to view porn? I'm getting out of this human trafficking biz " said no human trafficker ever :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Still cheaper than a paid membership... :(

It's probably some affiliate from the 90s trying to figure out how to make money with porn these days, tho. :upsidedow

People vote for broader picture, not just what suits their personal interest.
In theory many things that suits your personal job, finances or businesses may be the same that does not suit your country etc etc.

So yes they can, as quality people look at th whole picture, not just personal benefit.

It's narrow minded to support a candidate that wants to restrict the industry you work in, but a lot of his supporters here are foreigners and don't work in the industry soooo :1orglaugh

What is "reality?" Everyone lives in denial of something.

I don't believe in gravity but I don't float off...so am I wrong?

This is a moral issue and having been to South Carolina I can tell you that those motherfuckers really really love their Bibles.

Yet they still have Santa in the mall and not some Buda or a monk or a Arab guy. The simple fact if "anyone" wants something different than you guys then they are instantly your enemies. You guys make everything a partisan issue and your always the victims.

Healthcare you guys have made a political football.
The fucking environment is a god damn political issue..

We all have to have doctors and medical treatment, we all need clean water to drink.. Yet time and time again, Republicans always turn everything into some political argument.

Lewis11 12-22-2016 10:35 PM

Don't think this will pass, called free for a reason..

ErectMedia 12-23-2016 01:38 AM

Doubt shit would pass, if it did just rape the politicians that voted for it and claim ya had no choice cause you didn't have $20 and had to let the devil semen out. :2 cents:

What I don't understand is how can you make porn and NOT support this?

It's a simple proven fact that if you ban or make something harder to get its value increases.

Seems like a profit could be made by porn companies paying the fee in exchange for installing a porn toolbar or app that puts their content/sites up front. Remember when Altavista had free internet access if you could put up with their toolbar and ads? Something to that effect.
