Apparently Mike Pence's new neighbors are not welcoming him with open arms.
 

New VP Mike Pence has moved into a house in an upscale Washington DC neighborhood. The neighbors have welcomed him by hanging gay rights rainbow flags and putting pro-choice signs up in their yards.

I'm sure he doesn't care, but it makes me laugh.

There is nothing hostile or vulgar about it. They didn't picket. They didn't tell him to leave. They aren't egging his house or trying to disrupt his life. They are just letting him know they don't agree with him.

When you publicly say that you support gay conversion therapy you might find some people who disagree with you. If you are then elected Vice-President of the United States you might find some people willing to tell you they disagree with you.

I get this visual of him sitting in the back of an SUV in a Secret Service motorcade driving by dozens of these flags and signs and him trying not to act like he wants to light them on fire.

Doesn't this strike anyone as being odd? Why does the Vice President.... need a house? In Washington DC.

The VP has always lived at Observatory Circle, which I believe is owned by the US Navy or is on a US Navy base. The VP does not need to rent or buy a house.

The article I read said that this is a temporary house. He is still Governor of Indiana until the actual inauguration so he is splitting time between there and DC. After the inauguration he will be moving into Observatory Circle.

My old neighborhood...grew up there. He definitely will find very few in D.C. that agree with his religious funded rants
