we drove over "what was" the highest bridge in the world, the Millau viaduct in France, when it was first opened.

it's pretty frightening, so this new bridge in China must be even more remarkable :thumbsup

Bladewire 12-30-2016 06:27 PM

They opened the world's longest glass bridge this year and immediately close it because it started to break. If they weren't thieves I wouldn't be so mean :disgust

They learned it from us.

Unless you mean having a slave work force.

I just watched the video & yes, it actually mentioned the Millau bridge & does say it remains the tallest, fantastic. Next time I travel over it to go back to the UK, i'll appreciate it even more. Not that I'm going back to the UK for a very long time lol :thumbsup

Was very scary. We were driving over this new road, when we come out to the clearing & there was this huge long bridge. As we continued across the drop began getting deeper & deeper, so I was like, Gary, shift into the middle of the road, the inside lane of the dual. After we took photos of us driving over the bridge, we got home from our holiday & didn't know until 2 years later how special the bridge was. We were watching an "amazing structures" documentary, It's remarkable with it's design & technology, moving constantly.

Lykos 12-31-2016 06:12 AM

Saw it how it was built, impressive !

What do you think: A Chinese excavator is 300 Chinamen with shovels?

That bridge in France is still the highest in terms of gross altitude but not at span to the ground.

Sarn 12-31-2016 07:46 AM

USA will to teach from china to build a "great wall of crying" for "liberals"(Soros sect followers)
