Bullshit.. 2257 drove a lot of people out of this business due to the ridiculous requirements pushed off to secondary content holders. It wasn't about the content "producer" being able to prove, it was everyone who hosted or used that content, was subject to the same rules as the guy who produced it...

You are a content producer and don't have a clue what 2257 was? Eventually secondary content holders had a "loophole" to use but it sure as fuck didn't start that way when the law was first introduced..

The lack of requirements for Secondary content publishers to be able to prove they had content of a person over 18 who had given their consent to have their content published pushed far more people out of business and made you a lot poorer.

I was around when the law was first introduced and it made complete sense. I had to be able to prove my models were over 18 and that they had given consent for their image to be published. Which then had to be passed onto the publisher and all subsequent publishers. Not shops.

Imagine the world where a publisher has to prove a model is over 18 and consent to publication. The drop in free porn would be so great, your income would double, treble or even go back to the levels of 1-50.

Unless you couldn't comply. Then you're out of business and all your turnover goes to those who can comply.

Too late now though, I can still see why 2257 is a good law. Never had a problem with getting IDs and contracts signed.

As for only content producers or original publishers keeping records, that's a stupid idea. You must be able to see why.
