RCMP quietly bans all Ruger 10/22 magazines larger than 10 rounds

Thanks Trudeau. Your RCMP just made millions of Canadians criminals facing up to 2 years in prison and barely made a peep. They've been selling high capacity 22 magazines for years. Now if you get caught with one you go to jail.

Only reason I heard about it was because I wanted to buy one of those 110 round drums for my Ruger and quickly discovered they were no longer on the market in Canada.

When I had a ruger 10/22 I had one of those 50 round, double banana clip things. When one side was empty I flipped it the other way --- rock n roll.

Still my favorite gun I've ever owned, probably just because .223 was so expensive and I could get a brick of 22 cal for so much cheaper.

I guess we can still use larger magazines if we have anything other than a Ruger 10/22. Although there is hardly any choices on the market it seems that have compatible aftermarket stuff available. Ruger had the aftermarket sewn up.

Looks like you can still get 30 round magazines for Remington 22s and that is about it.

It has to do with some stupid loophole that people are using. Using high capacity 10/22 rifle clips in Ruger handguns so that they can circumvent the 10 round limit on those.

Still, the Ruger 10/22 is by far the most popular 22 on the market and hundreds of thousands of people will be facing jailtime if they try to use any of their larger magazines. :disgust

Good the cucks from up north can just sell them to me as I am paying a generous 1.50 USD per 25 rd mag but they have to be Ruger not aftermarket

Shooting is fun. Reloading sucks.

There's only like 30 million Canadians. I doubt millions own guns, let alone Rugers, let alone with magazines larger then 10 rounds. This probably affects a few thousand people at most...

Time is money too.

The more time you spend at the range the more it cost you so why pay to reload?

Well you would be wrong. As many as 7 million own guns. Estimates as high as 21 million guns in the country. Ruger 10/22 has been produced for over 50 years.

Peoples willingness to give up their freedoms because it's something that doesn't directly affect or concern them turns my stomach.

Why do we need guns at all? I can buy my food at the grocery store. Might as well ban guns since we don't really need them.

don't mind us, most of us are alarmists up here that don't have real issues to get upset about ever so we have to infuse dramatics in these mundane details that have no affect on our lives to simulate meaning in our lives.
