Northwestern University has kicked off two weeks of events highlighting Black Lives Matter - the activist group slammed by Donald Trump as "a fuse-lighter in the assassinations" of several police officers.

On Tuesday, a Black Lives Matter flag was hoisted over the school's student center as 14 days of "student-organized and administration-backed" programs on the state of black lives and the Black Lives Matter movement began, The Daily Northwestern reports.

The events at the 166-year-old Illinois school of 21,000 are being held to "build community . build coalitions" and "unite different groups and students together," organizer Danielle Harris told the newspaper.

Last July, Donald Trump, now president-elect, said he believed the Black Lives Matter movement in some cases helped spark the killings of police officers.

The group has been "a fuse-lighter in the assassinations of these police officers," Trump told Fox News' Bill O'Reilly. "They certainly have ignited people and you see that ... It's a very, very serious situation and we just can't let it happen."

and after all these horrible slavery accounts, finally and fortunately for race card players, it were people from Africa:

"When Europeans began to colonize the New World at the end of the 15th century, they were well aware of the institution of slavery. As early as 1300, Europeans were using black and Russian slaves to raise sugar on Italian plantations. During the 1400s, decades before Columbus's "discovery" of the New World, Europeans exploited African labor on slave plantations built on sugar producing islands off the coast of West Africa."

So there was a huge, huge scale of white slavery before the black colonial era slaves.
This piece of history comes from an official education textbook site for schools in the US.
But it looks like they deliberately leave out that part during the actual education. Because nobody seems to know this in the US somehow. The collective memory only goes back 200 years max, like the world is 200 years old.

The whole race war is hypocrisy. Many years went by, many races used and abused. how long does it take for the past to become obsolete and we move forward from all this?

Is it because we have physical pictures of the last racial feud? Is it pictures that continue to remind us of how shitty things were? Can we never let things rest and move on because of these pictorial memories? If the genocide of my heritage was documented in photographs would I still carry the hate from my ancestors?

Or is it just a "you look different so I'm gonna hate you" thing?
