Best Mind-bending movies

I love mind-benders. What's your favourite? Mine include

Triangle is a low budget movie but is really good. Ignore the trailer - the movie is nothing like it.

What's your favourite?

I would recommend seeking out the original theatrical cut, because as usual the director's cut is no improvement. You could say Richard Kelly ruined the movie with his director's cut. It was perfect before.

LOVE Triangle.

Mark; see Rampage President Down (Netflix) it's a GFY worse scenario. Not a technical or screenplay achievement -- but an 'entertaining' commentary ...

"Inception" is pretty straightforward. Its merit is to make you believe is a mind-bending movie.

True. One of the thinkers that inspired The Matrix said that "it's the kind of movie that The Matrix would do about itself."

I totally agree. The original was perfect. It's been a long time since I've seen the directors cut but I seem to remember some random insertions like a computer voice or computer sound effect.

One thing I don't get about both versions, was "Grandma Death". They spent a significant amount of time on her. (A picture of her younger self is in the school, she keeps checking her mailbox, etc). But so what? It seems to lend nothing to the story. For a while I was thinking that she might have been involved in a time travel experiment that caused Donnie's loop, but Grandma Death's reason for being in the story is never explained. Any ideas?

Are you serious? It's written and directed by Uwe Boll? Nice try... :)

Was watching this one on the local TV last night because of insomnia:

A very good movie, I have to say. But... afraid the US peeps won't get it. I think only Europeans and maybe Canadians should be able to understand it. It's filmed in a very European style which is much closer to the people here in the Old World...

Duress (2009) - IMDb

I've never seen a director's cut I liked. Things get cut for a reason, and director's should just learn to leave things alone. Star Wars comes to mind.
