Anybody know about Big Bear Lake, California?

My live-in gf and I are looking to relocate out there. From the internet is looks great, can anyone tell me differently? Does anyone or has anyone live there?
Thanks

I know I snowboard there. So in the winter expect many... many ... many tourists.

However... My wife and I have talked about moving there as well, so yes it is nice.

you snowboard? shit, lets go!
Big bear is nice, but there is absolutely no night life whatsoever.

If you are looking for a great place to have mountain biking and hiking in the summer and down the street access to he best snow in so cal it is great.

Like it was stated above there is no night life....chad's place for Karaoke is about as wild as it getys i think

Listening to truckers sing turn the page gets old after you hear it three times in an hour and a half

I wish I had thwe cas....I would open a hooters right at the base of snow summit....the place would make a mint in the winter and do well inthe summer and would become the default hang out at night

My ex-wifes parents had a home up in that area. Absolutely gorgeous when it snows. Its like being in another world compared to LA.

Just keep in mind its on a major fault line and the big one up there hasn't come yet. :1orglaugh

But it's east of the fault line so after the big one I'll have ocean front property too. :)
