Paypal cool with adult now?
I remember back in the days you get banned for anything adult related on paypal.
|
We permit U.S.-only transactions for certain sexually oriented physical goods that are physically delivered to the customer. Videos, DVDs, and magazines are examples of physical goods. (We don’t allow transactions for such goods outside the U.S.)
We don’t permit PayPal account holders to buy or sell: Sexually oriented digital goods or content delivered through a digital medium. Downloadable pictures or videos and website subscriptions are examples of digital goods. Sexually oriented goods or services that involve, or appear to involve, minors. Services whose purpose is to facilitate meetings for sexually oriented activities. Sexual preferences and viewpoints aren’t factors in determining what our policy prohibits. In deciding what sexually oriented goods and services to allow, we consider: What regulations or restrictions are placed on the purchase or sale of the product. How the product is classified by a recognized ratings board. Whether the product describes or depicts sexual conduct in a patently offensive way. The dominant theme of the product material or website. The literary, artistic, political, or scientific value of the product. Potential medicinal or educational uses for the product. The product’s impact on the safety of our customers. |
I will never trust Paypal for adult stuff again. My god, it must have been 2003.... Their VP came to Phoenix Forum, met with us, and we spent a week re-coding all of our join pages to use Paypal. Less than a week later they said "Sorry, we changed our minds, no adult".
Never again. |
AdultFriendfinder Affiliate always paid me through PayPal, even back in the day.

Paxum, payoneer... Oops... First choice!

You can use Paypal through Epoch.
|
Serious question: Is it legal for an adult site to use Paypal to pay commissions to its affiliates ?

It's random. I wouldn't risk my PayPal account personally. |
No digital products.
Had an account closed 2 weeks ago |
To process for adult content (digital goods) by PayPal it's only allowed through Epoch (they have a special exclusive deal set up for processing adult).
Affiliate payouts is no problem. |
Can I sell links or adult directory entries?
|
To keep things simple and stupid:
1.Digital goods directly over paypal - NO 2.Physical goods directly over paypal - YES 3.Digital goods over Epoch - YES 4.B2B payments - YES |

so what if you put a text file of the sites sold on a 99 cent flash drive and mail it with tracking? :upsidedow
|
Well some networks can get away with it by masking what they do . For example, bill customers using another payment processor and pay commissions to affiliates as a company with a name unrelated to the adult industry using paypal. Just dont put a single paypal payment button on any adult related site or make any references to adult content when dealing with paypal.
