I guess somehow that's supposed to be cool but I don't see it. These new guys have to learn a couple of rules to help avoid this type of bullshit

1. Never ask to be a part of a group, let them ask you.
2. If someone talks to you like Aaron M did in that chat, be sure that you tell them to fuck off rather than kiss ass, it will get you more respect
3. Do your own thing, not what everyone else does and fuck the rest.

I hear ya pimp, I guess a lot of the new guys just don't have any idea and they're looking for respect without ever earning. You gotta respect yourself first before anyone is going to respect you. Once you respect yourself if you don't get respect then slap that motherfucker right in the face.
