Cancun Became a Battle field today!

If you have not seen it on your local news you will shortly.

We have a drug war going on with at least 5 different shootings in tourist areas Including the hotel zone.

Been to Cancun last year, its just bunch of drunk idiots but for $800 for 7 days all inclusive and 5 star hotel is not that bad.

Just cancelled a trip we had planned for Cancun in April. Can't really say I'm disappointed, going to Costa Rica instead.

No that was actually in Playa Del Carmen. 60 KM away.

This was 5 separate shootings here in Cancun Centro and 1 in the hotel zone.

We are in our hose and avoiding the city and tourist areas. My son took the extra precautions to block the doors with the chairs and tie the windows shut with Cleaning cloths.

I let him do it. He was happy.

I go in april for a few months, but most in Mexico City.

can't say it is safer here in Brazil, they got mad last year, 12 people killed and the police killed the 5 killers not more than 1000 metres from here.

There are problems with 2 drug gangs in Cancun. I would just wait a few days/ weeks to cancel Pornpat. Can go over quick. Or escalate. Will see soon. Here the police quickly cleans the area when they start attacking tourist. And else, go to Isla Mujeres :)

It is Safe In Cancun. I think this was two things put together to make one big day. News should eventually break the truth about it.
