Man burned after setting fire outside Trump hotel in D.C.

A man was burned seriously Tuesday night after he apparently tried to set a fire outside the Trump Hotel in downtown Washington, according to the police and fire departments.

It was not clear if the man deliberately set himself on fire, or why he was setting a fire.

As given to the police and fire departments, the incident occurred outdoors at 12th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. President-elect Donald Trump?s hotel is located between 11th and 12th Streets NW on the south side of Pennsylvania.

An ambulance was sent to the scene at 9:23 p.m., the fire department said. According to information from the police and fire departments, the man was taken to a hospital after being burned.

Trump is to be inaugurated Friday. Officials expect protesters to gather here to demonstrate against him. It could not be determined Tuesday night whether the fire incident was connected with the protests in any way.

Bernie Sanders yesterday announced he is putting together a bill that would allow medicare to push prices down on medications to end the price gouging in this country. He specially called out Trump and asked Trump to work with him on this bill because Trump claimed in the past he supported that idea.

This is Trump's chance to work with the left and Sanders is giving him that chance on something Trump has already claimed he supports. If Trump blows Sanders off, I think that will set the stage for how Democrats respond from here on out. The ball is in Trump's court to work with Sanders and if he fails to do so, it will be down hill from there.
