do you use a "bluelight shield" on your screen?
We´ve just bought a new laptop, after a long while of waiting, seems to be running sweet on it´s i7, 8gb ram, dedicated grfix, sufficient for now. At a later date, we´ll add a second drive, ssd of course & up the ram to at least 16gb, but for now, it turns on fast, runs smooth and has many new ports inc. usb3 and 3.1, so we´re happy.
We noticed the screen´s slightly green, so we´ve looked through while setting it up & have noticed an acer quick access feature, a "blue light shield". You can set it to a few different levels or turn it off. It´s meant to be good for your eyes & vision, avoiding headaches & eye strain... Do you use yours or have you this option? |
has no one got a bluelight shield option on their systems?

Acers are cheap i'd suggest getting something better.

Sorry you're poor |
It's not that its better on your eyes as much as it is made to help you to sleep better at night.
It also depends what you are working on. If you're working on graphics where color is important, you have to disable that feature. But if you're reading, coding, etc, it might be a good idea. You can also use a dark theme for your OS, or at least in the program you are using. I write HTML on a Mac and use BBEDIT for my editor, and it has a great dark theme. If you're reading stuff on Google Chrome, there is an inverse-color plug-in you can get. It's not perfect but it works on most sites. |

acer has the first curved screen laptop... my laptop hasn´t got a dvd drive, more room for the fast processors and graphics card, enough room for the ssd. It´s a nice laptop and is the best for the money :2 cents: getting back to the thread, anyone use a blue light reducer? |

Stop looking at the screen and concentrate on really working that dildo and getting into it to provide your customer with an overall better private cam experience.

I got a 17 inch acer for $450 as a backup on amazon couple months ago problems from day 1... Nice thing about amazon returns are so easy..
Imagine their high end gaming machines are better.. Got 17 inch HP then for 260 at amazon as it's replacement and it's beautiful.. I still use my Toshiba Qosmio X505 18.4 screen as my main... Awesome machine.. shame they stopped making them.. Even HP though makes high end gamers that kick butt.. |

I bought an i7 6500U, GTX950M giving 4gb of gfx which is GDDR5, usb 3.1, MU-MIMO for fast wireless, True harmony sound & going to add a SSD for even faster performance. This laptop has been nothing but amazing to use, wouldn´t change it for another :2 cents: |
You should look at calibrating you screen. Much easier on the eyes and better color reproduction in general.

was really wondering if other acer users use this feature and if they found it helped with headaches or their eye sight. I´ve noticed my left eye can be slightly pained compared to usual in the last few months. Working on screen many hours of a day. Wanting to know if this going to help? |
For my Desktop I use a program called F.lux turns your screen pretty orange when it gets dark out so it relieves some of the stress on your eyes

The free software for phones and PC/Laptops is called IRIS, it's amazing, you can change the color temp to your liking, I use 5000k which is perfect for my eyes, regular LED screens are 7500 which is crazy hard on your eyes. People spend hundreds for those glasses when this is free and the same.
