Affiliate managers white lies
i got an email from a new af she like those before are full of beans, lets make money, if theres anything i can do to impove you sales, blah blag blah, so i ask could you fix the video xml import so images import also as yours is broken and has been for some time, "i can add these manually but will take a lot of time", so she says leave it with me, hour later she gets back all is fixed, it isnt, doesnt look like anyone even changed anything,
i said its still the same nothings fixed, she goes on to say use the dump everything is there, i got the impression she doesnt know what i am talking about, so is this another af full of white lies? |
To be honest, fixing an XML import feed takes some technical know-how.
Maybe no one in their organization has the technical know-how to fix it. I'm assuming its a NATS program and that they'll need to open a ticket to fix it. Could cost them more money than its worth depending on how much time is needed to fix it. |
LOL that is fun, BUy thier program and run it Yourself

But nothing unusual, 99% of affiliate/account managers are clueless noobs, otherwise they would working for themself , as affiliate marketing is not really a rocket science. |
Hahhaha! I got a story!
I signed up for an affiliate program via email because their signup page was malfunctioning. That was the first sign something was wrong. Once they gave me my affiliate code, guess what? It only works to the homepage. It was an e-comm site and I couldn't even link directly to the product. I had to link to the homepage and tell my viewers to click on the homepage, click X category, then scroll down to the product. Guess what? I didn't do that. Fuck them. I told the AF about it, he forwarded it to the tech guy and they just quietly ignored the ticket. Yeah, I just didn't implement their affiliate system :) |

Well, I asked LarsAWE if he could help getting mobile redirects to awe whitelabels fixed. I had reported it to support many times, but nothing happened.
After an hour he wrote back that it was fixed. And it really was. So someone are helpful. :) |
