I was just watching Alice In Wonderland and one of the characters uttered the line "Time is against you"

I'm on my phone and there's no option to make this a poll.

I've always felt time was on my side. Your thoughts?

I wouldn't say it is against us, but the fact that we all have approx the same amount of time in our lives means that it is one of the most important assets in life, imho. Much more important than money, I would say. What was the question, again?

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Very true, I agree with this very much

Fancy quantum physics theories aside, time for all living things on this earth is a one say street. So in that sense, it seems like time *is* against us all as you cannot go back and rectify mistakes or your regrets.

Or, by the time you've realized you've fucked up or would like to change the trajectory of your life, it's too late as you might be too old/given up hope on life/or have too many obligations to others at this point to wrestle free and change your outcome.

time is on your side until about 40. then its not.

I would disagree respectfully...If you live your life never looking back and doing only the things that you love, then I say you would never know the word regret...It took me a long time to figure that out...and as soon as I did, I couldn't have enough time to do everything I want...but I'm going to give it my best shot!!! :thumbsup
