Aloha! I'm going to Hawaii!

Whoo whooo! :pimp:pimp:pimp

Besides the Stairway to Heaven and some of the more popular touristy things (like the Luau) what is a "must see" (I'm good with restaurant reccs too) for someone visiting for the first time? :)

thanks

I found the prices to be quite high. I would recommend increasing your budget beyond what you think you may need.

Safe journey and enjoy your trip :)

I love Hawaii. The end goal is for my wife and I is to move to Hawaii.

If you are going to Ohau make sure you go over to the North side of the island, much less traveled and great places to stop and swim, etc. Remember all beaches in Hawaii are public beaches.

Coming from Toronto, believe me I know all about high prices ugh. The flight was quite cheap but now we're up to $1000 US for just the lodgings/transportation/extracurriculars :Oh crap

How much do you suggest I bring in cash? I was looking at $400 US

That really depends on you. How long are you staying for?
You can do hawaii on $100 per day per person and have fun

Been there a few times myself. Have fun and remember that fatal shark attacks are relatively rare there.

The odd Tiger shark now and again but the water is their home.

Have a great time!

$100 a day?? Lol I'm screwed as I was planning on staying here for 7 days which would bring me to $700!

Have a safe journey and enjoy it. Personally I've never been to Hawaii and haven't even considered it for a travel, because I'm not a surfer ;)

If you can make it over to Kauai today you can join Hawaiians in protesting Mark Zukerberg's wall and land grab!

He has apologized for that after discussions with the landowners and dropped it

Ivana - I lived there for 6 years - definitely go with the advice of going to the north shore but take the long way around - stop at all of the beaches along the way - they are all different

If you get away from the tourist destinations be prepared for discrimination - at least it was in full swing when I was there - if you are caucasian you are the minority and some can be quite racist

I would definitely question $100 a day - seems way low to me but then I like good food and good drinks :1orglaugh

I would like to be on your place

You are lying. He did not speak with landowners...at all.
The publicity hitting websites around the world scared him off.

He's still a dirtbag. Ask his Mountview View neighbors.

He built a wall while criticizing US. Once a shitbag always a shitbag.
