Trump probably can't prove libel. He needs his wife to prove loss of income for reason of the alleged libel. Like she couldn't contract work because she was accused of being a whore by some unknown blogger. That has to be proven to have cost Milania Trump $150 million in actual losses.

Melania suit is a classic SLAPP suit used to intimidate and create a financial burden on the defendant.

Burden of proof in required of the one claiming defamation to prove the allegations false. Good luck on that one ...

Still it was undue nastiness -- but public figures are fair game in most cases.
