Is a Coup d'etat starting?
https://medium.com/@yonatanzunger/tr...1d5#.r79vunf3b
This is a highly interesting summary of events so far. Pay special attention to the "resignations" of senior employees last week and the power vacuums they leave behind. Checks and balances are being swiftly removed. The #MAGA crew will point to this as "draining the swamp" but everyone with a penchant for due process and democratic governance will be immediately concerned. An excerpt: "A second major theme is watching the set of people involved. There appears to be a very tight “inner circle,” containing at least Trump, Bannon, Miller, Priebus, Kushner, and possibly Flynn, which is making all of the decisions. Other departments and appointees have been deliberately hobbled, with key orders announced to them only after the fact, staff gutted, and so on. Yesterday’s reorganization of the National Security Council mirrors this: Bannon and Priebus now have permanent seats on the Principals’ Committee; the Director of National Intelligence and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff have both been demoted to only attending meetings where they are told that their expertise is relevant; the Secretary of Energy and the US representative to the UN were kicked off the committee altogether (in defiance of the authorizing statute, incidentally). I am reminded of Trump’s continued operation of a private personal security force, and his deep rift with the intelligence community. Last Sunday, Kellyanne Conway (likely another member of the inner circle) said that “It’s really time for [Trump] to put in his own security and intelligence community,” and this seems likely to be the case." http://www.pr0n4ever.com/uploads/8ID...1Lr9_o6yxA.png What are your thoughts, GFY? |
Trump, yet again, sticking to another promise, and he's not even 2 weeks in office.
A lot of people outside of your bubble voted for him. Tip: Leave that bubble once in a while to get a dose of reality. People are being blown, shot up and run over by Isis members who travelled along with the huge immigrant wave her in Europe. Sweden, Europe's most tolerant country, are now paying the price of that tolerance by bringing in a Trojan horse - rapes are not an exception anymore and the women in big cities are afraid to walk alone in the dark, something they couldn't even imagine 5 years ago. Throw millions of people of a women- and western culture hating ideology in a western society and you get a culture clash. Simple logic. Add in traveling Isis members to the mix and the melting pot of chaos and mayhem is complete. But please, continue to believe in fairy tales! Go spread your message to the families of the dead and raped :thumbsup FYI trump is the only one who publicly spoke out that Iraq and Libya would be better off without any war mongering by the US. Yet you libs condemn him and embrace the war mongering establishment of the Clintons = Obama = Bush. I thought you guys were anti war? |

Signing an executive order is not "doing" anything. His order has to be approved by congress for any funding and has to be LEGAL. We aren't a monarchy like yours in the Netherlands where your king signs a decree for his disciples who have to kiss his Gay rings :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh |

Trump fired all diplomats to end employment by 1/20/2017 Trump has 660 whitehouse positions not yet filled. Now, as he and his administration fuck up time and time again, their excuse is "He's new, he's never done this before" like what the fuck?!! |
A coup requires the muscle of the military and the military doesn't like Trump. There was an interesting post on Reddit today from an Airforce officer. He said most of the officers have gone from wait and see to WTF.
Most seem to think he's incompetent and has no idea what he's doing. He says the Military guys who have been around the block are very pissed at his coziness with Russia and the Russian connections.. Trust me any attempt to do something drastic will end with bullets in the heads. This isn't a 3rd world country where the police & military can be bought.. Will trump fuck shit up .. Yes.. Will it take years to fix shit he fucks up.. Yes just like it did with Bush.. |

BEFORE Trump's order, refugees were already undergoing extremely stringent vetting before they were allowed to fly to North America. The list of countries now banned was a list made by Obama as countries that should be watched closely. But, as a good statesman, he understood the value of keeping that policy quiet and enacted in an inconspicuous way. If refugees and immigrants were causing trouble in the States or Canada, then yes, you would have an argument. But they're not. In fact, they're more law-abiding than born citizens. https://crdcn.org/immigrants-and-crime-evidence-canada "first, new immigrants do not have a significant impact on the property crime rate, but with time spent in Canada, a 10% increase in the recent-immigrant share or established-immigrant share decreases the property crime rate by 2% to 3%. Neither underreporting to police nor the dilution of the criminal pool by the addition of law-abiding immigrants can fully explain the size of the estimates. This suggests that immigration has a spillover effect, such as changing neighbourhood characteristics, which reduces crime rates in the long run. " Second, how can you possibly claim Trump is anti-war? He suggested to the CIA last week that they might have another chance to seize Iraq's oil. He is poking nuclear-armed countries with no care to repurcussions. Why do you say he is anti-war? |
If Coup d'etat, aim for mullets in camo.

I never knew Coup had such an elegant last name btw.

Our military has always leaned Republican, but keeps out of political issues. I am on a lot of military message boards and Facebook groups, and I haven't seen anything of the sort. |

Trump on the other hand is bringing in people who don't know shit about the department they are suppose to be running. Their only qualification is either they are donors and/or helped him win! |

Wow. There is no chance of an impeachment, coup d'etat, resignation, and very little chance of an assassination.
Trump is the president. I did not vote for him, but he is the president. The only way he won't be the president is if US ciitizens stop posting so much and get off their asses and vote next time. I voted. 125 million people did. But 80 million didn't. Why don't you stop throwing around stupid shit, get off your ass and volunteer? If you're not a US citizen, then stop reading the papers because most of what you are seeing is intense partisan bullshit and clickbait. |
I would just love to see pro-migrant people here and their faces once they face the bitter reality and shit hit the fan. Would also like to paste you how some of my friends from France feel now (after terrorist attacks when they started seeing army patrolling the streets). It is private stuff so I won't post it. They didn't understand what I was talking for years and now it is too late. Same crap I am seeing here, absolutely the same.
Luckily, people in the USA will be spared and all you should be thankful for that. Bashing Trump and attacking his decisions is just making USA look weak and unstable and the whole situation seems tense from here. He followed rules that are there in power for hundreds of years and won. Stick to the democracy. It is not the end of the world, someone you don't like won. Same would be for the other part of a country in the case that bloodthirsty, lying and immoral witch-bitch Killary won. Actually, it would be worse, there would be real dead people worldwide and to me, that seems like much worse scenario than revising immigration policy. Maybe killing people worldwide when it is far away from you looks like a cool thing, but it is not for them. If he fails (whatever that means), you will fix it on next elections. USA survived Clinton and George W. Bush, Mr. Trump seems like the much better solution anyway. There are much worse things that could happen if medias continue to put a pressure on POTUS. Country is big, armed and obviously, there are huge differences between population. Luckily (once again), you don't have anyone from the outside to spark that mess (like the US government was and is doing around the globe). Rubbish talk about coup d'etat leave for the movies and series and better never found out how that really looks like (went through that shit too) |

That doesn't exist in the United STates, nor will it any time soon mainly by virtue of our geography. The middle east is a hop, skip and jump from the Europe. We're in a much better neighborhood being bordered by Mexico and Canada. Trump is creating a lot of chaos and a solution for a problem that doesn't exist. Actually, it would be wrong to say it doesn't exist at all, but not in a magnitude that calls for what he just did to make his rabid base happy. |

Not enough people voted. For such a strong democracy, you guys really need to improve your voter turnout. Perhaps this cycle will help with that. Canada has lackluster numbers in this area, too. Yes. Volunteer. Campaign. Protest if you feel strongly. Exercise your first amendment rights. Since you claim "the papers" are partisan bullshit, where do you source your news from? Any unbiased sources you can recommend? |

Once violence starts, it is almost impossible to stop it. Yes, USA is better position just like it was in WW2, far away from mess, and better keep it that way. If POTUS sucks so much, he will loose on next elections. Stay proud and learn to loose sometimes, it is not the end of the world. Not even close. As far as I know, millions didn't vote. Educate them for the next time why it is important to do it. |
I'd like to introduce you to the actual President Of The United States, an unmarried, lonely, angry, whiskey-soaked, pig fucker named Steve Bannon.

Voter turnout is and was not the only problem. A huge problem was the education and information level of the voting public. Civics and logical thinking should be mandatory subjects in school to ensure the next generation of voters knows how to arm itself with real facts so they can form logical, valid opinions that are not simply based on emotions and catchphrases. |

It all depends on education, will to learn and control of information. Unfortunately, education is not free and what is even worse, are the medias that are controlled by someone's interests. At the top of that, books and history are written by those who are on power. There are no independent medias. Behind every report you see, there is someone's interest. Including promotion of Kim Kardashian's ass. Expecting that people have time and will to investigate things is utopia. It won't happen. So they will accept facts that are presented by someone who has an interest in forming their opinion and getting their vote. Lies and agendas are everywhere. Basic example that would go unnoticed to 99,99% of viewers. (0:22) Anyway, I am unsubscribing from this thread , shouldn't get here in first place, I should better write some fresh blog posts. |

One of the first steps to a fully literate and educated society is free (publicly paid for) education. Of course, someone is paying those teachers, etc. That is what taxes are for. And of course a human will be in charge of deciding how to direct those funds. That is what people like Betsy DeVos are for. Your election votes also go towards choosing those people and picking the best leaders for the job. To say there are no "independent" medias is a false fallacy. Sure, someone is running the news outlet and they are paid money by various parties. But many news outlets take care in releasing well researched and well sourced articles, and attempt to reduce bias in their reporting (except for op-ed pieces.) It is up to the viewer to search these sources out and encourage their work. Also, never get your news from just one source. Cobble together several of these well-researched news outlets and form your educated opinion from them. Clinton lost. Sure, she's lied a few times. But she's still a damn good politician with strong connections in the international community. Also, her hands might be a touch larger than Trump's. :pimp Was she the best candidate for the DNC to run? Probably not. The DNC needs to get its act together, as does the GOP and anyone else who wants a part in this dance. |

As mentioned, that is your opinion based on your life experience. I could debate every single sentence of yours, whole night probably. (until now I've learned that is useless, because of many reasons that would again ask for tons of time spent to explain them. It is neverending spiral). Personally, I've gone through coup d'etat, few wars (and witnessed psychological and sociological effects on the population) and a watched things Muslims are capable of doing that you probably never could even imagine people are doing. Otherwise, I think you would have a different opinion. Some of those things, I've tried to post here but were threatened to be banned for posting images of that nature. Obviously, people were not interested to investigate further on the subject as you are suggesting that they should. In my case, I am trying to get as much data as possible if I am interested in some subject. So in my bookmark, I have American, Russian, Chinese, local and even Iranian news ( and I can spot a clear difference and a message behind the same news, depending on a source). This is just a response to your advice about getting news from more sources. To put it in short. You people there are still well protected from what Muslims are bringing with them. From that point, the world must be looking different. Can't blame you. There were many who were using the same logic and thinking that it is possible to assimilate them long term. Near my place, there is a spot where middle east migrants are coming on their way in further illegal penetration in Europe. All I can say is that there is no normal person who would love to see them as neighbors or coworkers. |

If you oppose Trump by posting, you are making no difference other than demonstrating the need for enhanced spell checking. If you actually care what happens, then call a few friends in swing states and convince them to vote next time. |

"Staging a no-fly zone requires either the assent of regional allies ... or an expensive, open-ended and risky deployment of aircraft carrier groups to the eastern Mediterranean." Considering the GOP would probably still have won a ton of seats even if Clinton took the big prize, getting this kind of thing approved could take a very long time and a lot of effort. It seems like a rash plan, but she had to say something strong on the ISIS front to counter Trump's "number one tricky" plan of "getting rid of ISIS in 30 days." She was waging a war of sound bites by October, as we all know, and losing badly. |

The real issue is 77,000 votes in three states. Call your friends. Don't judge, listen. Urge them to vote. Drive them if needed. That will actually make a difference. |

https://www.google.com/maps/@31.891534,11.1095509,3.08z Take a look at how close Europe is to the hornet's nest...and how far away we are in geographical terms. That counts for a whole lot as it pertains to radical Islam problems. |

It sounds like you've been through a lot of political shakeup in your lifetime. That's good experience to advise people who are looking at the possibility of the same in the States. Do you honestly believe that the Muslims being allowed into the States as the very slow trickle of highly vetted refugees were going to be a problem down the road? Would money not be better spent making sure that American mosques don't have any radical leaders in them, and making sure the children are being sent to mainstream schools instead of traditional Muslim schools? Surely there must be a better way than an all-out ban? |

The Economist (slightly left leaning) Al Jazeera English The Washington Post (used to be right leaning?) The Guardian The CBC (very left leaning) PBS News Hour (fairly balanced from what I have seen so far) NHK World BBC World and I keep an eye on RT America for shits n giggles. I tried reading Breitbart, but their "articles" were all opinion pieces with no actual sources and their titles are just obnoxious clickbait. I wouldn't consider them a news source at all. I haven't read the Drudge Report in years. Huffington Post is like "AOL News:lite". It's just as click-baity as Breitbart. 77k votes are the real issue? I disagree. I think the real issue at hand is Trump driving the bus off a cliff to prove that he is in control of the steering wheel. 77k votes are a project for a few years from now. |

We'll then we'll agree to disagree. I think the Sturm und Drang is pointless, and we need to focus on 18 and 20 with real preparation and action. If you believe there is another way, then best of luck. |
