I noticed this report on pornhub. Is an unsecure Kibana server important?

Depends on the value of the information and if you can go deeper into the network.

A Kibana installation should be in your secure network outside of public Internet access.

If it's holding user information then remember Ashley Madison - If it's just movie data for example then it's it isn't going to be a real issue...
