Trump's state of mind now...
even though i'm middle-left .. (the same way my penis just happens to curve) I still feel a bit of sympathy for Trump.. y?
alright think about , #1 this federal Judge in washington state just reversed his Ban thing... #2 A lot more Republicans are more conflicted now over building The Wall.. #3 A lot more Republicans are more conflicted now over quickly repealing ObamaCare. It's startin to smell like the same thing that happened to Obama during his first term 8 years ago...when he was so strictly determined on quickly getting things done to help this country... Like ObamaCare, which was a MUCH bigger battle than he ever imagined. And all the other things he wanted to get done...blocked by Republicans. (and even some Democrats) So what's my point ? It doesn't matter which President comes in...Democrat or Republican ... It's Congress and the Judges that really control the country.... and practically FORCE everything to stay the same....all the time. They mention the word "Constitution" ...and then everything is frozen again. Trump's gotta be frustrated now... and it kinda sucks because he truly wants to get a lot of positive things done quickly....but never will... Because of all this BS. I bet he's gonna slow down now...and really start re-thinking things. But DO we really want this? That means it'll be another 4 or 8 years of NOTHING getting done...and the same BS over and over and over.. So everybody that's cheering like an emo right now, should re-think and get ready for a whole lot of nothing getting done...since everybody's steppin in Trump's way. |
Every President goes through this. There is a big difference between saying you are going to do things while campaigning and actually getting them done. Having to make the House and Senate happy is no easy thing.
I think Trump may have a harder time than others. He is not used to being told no. His entire life he has been rich and in charge. When he has made a demand, people fell over themselves to make it happen. That isn't going to be happening now. Trump also seems to badly want people to like him. It isn't enough that he wins, he has to have everyone rejoice in and celebrate the win. He ran a very contentious campaign and now a good portion of the country despises him. He is going to have to learn to work with others and take no for an answer and he is going to have to accept that he won't make everyone happy and get over it. |

(by the way you might be not popular amongst forum libbies/leftards, because they genuinely think Trump wants to do harm to Americans :1orglaugh - that is how stupid and brainwashed by crooked media they are). |
On the most basic honest level...
I have no sympathy for a 71 year old man, born rich, who let his ego and greed consume him to the point he spent his lifetime in court, not paying people, violating The rights of others and ripping people off so he could be the one with the most toys... that won't go beyond his grave. I'd rather be a hummingbird that brought joy & smiles to a million hearts & faces than a trump. |
No centrist that becomes president will ever get anything done - the only way someone will get something done is a true conservative or a true liberal sweep in the executive and legislative branch - won't happen when so much money is at stake. I would love to see a true conservative - it's good for my business
People can idolize trump, obama, reagan all they want....they haven't...and won't get anything done |

Two weeks after he took office people are still protesting him (Seems they want to moon Trump Tower in Chicago Saturday!), federal courts are bitch smacking Trump around, multiple government agencies have gone rogue, and his first military action ended up with nothing gained and an American life lost. At the same time he has done nothing to protect us, made us weaker, and just today he removed some of the protections to prevent us from having another recession like we just went through. Usually presidents get a bump their first week or so in office. Not Trump. He is at 44%. Compared to other past Presidents... Obama 76% Kennedy 72% Eisenhower 68% Carter 66% Nixon 59% Clinton 59% Bush 58% Bush 57% Reagan 51% Did you read about what the FCC did today? LOL. The FCC shut down two investigations into mobile phone companies, removed provisions for poor people to have cell phones, and more..... Hope you like your set top cable box because you are stuck with it - you won't be able to buy your own and use it. |

Unless he does something spectacular, I don't see his approval rating/popularity going up much from where it is. In most elections, once it is over, there are some angry people, but most people are willing to give the new president a shot because they might disagree with him on some issues, but they don't hate him personally. It seems like that isn't true with Trump. It feels like most of the people who didn't vote for him despise him and it is going to take a lot to change their minds. |
