Aides confer in the dark because they cannot figure out how to operate the light switches in the cabinet room. Visitors conclude their meetings and then wander around, testing doorknobs until finding one that leads to an exit.

The reality of this is taking over the White House is a very large and difficult task. This is not like taking over a small office with a staff of sixteen people. Hundreds of people work in the White House, and this relatively small staff commands an army of departments which have thousands or tens of thousands of people - and lots of complicated rules, regulations, and laws.

The transition team was originally headed by Chris Christie. The Trump team didn't think they had a chance in hell of winning, and did little prep work. Because of their absolute stunning lack of experience they had no clue of what was involved. Hundreds of people need to be hired and long before they are hired they have to be vetted. None of this was done ahead of time.

This administration has no idea what it's doing. They cannot run the White House because they cannot find fucking light switches, and they clearly cannot run the government.

Sorry Boris, but the cabinet Room is down stairs right next door to the oval office.. That flashing light appears to be in the sitting room of the residence or perhaps the kitchen..

This is why Trump's first comment about living in the White House was about the phone system. The phone system must be the most high tech in the country if not the world - surely much more advanced than what Trump Tower has.
