Pros and Cons of shooting adult content with a GoPro
Serious question please. Besides the lack of zoom, what are the pros and cons of shooting amateur adult content with a GoPro?
|
pro: you can put it on a drone
|
almost only cons unless you need them for a very specific reason

About the only pro I can see for porn is being able to shoot intros in public without catching peoples attention to much. The quality pretty much goes to shit unless you are in sunny afternoon conditions with a sensor that small and the stabilization on the Hero 5 is pretty much useless unless you are shooting POV sports. I tried POV sex with the hero 5 and the stabilizer was shifting all over the place making the footage useless. It was an experiment to add an extra angle good thing I didn't use it as an A camera I would have had an unusable POV scene. If you do shoot POV with the Hero 5 turn that shit off!

I guess I should clarify... I am shooting outdoors, mostly public nudity and exhibitionism content. I have a gimbal for my GoPro's that typically gives me great "steady" results when shooting mainstream outdoor material such as sports, etc. And I love the wide angle. The only thing I don't like is that fact that I have to be in the model's face since the GoPro is a wide angle lens.

just for POV and using a 3rd person for holding the cam

Pain in the ass so at this point I usually use it for a stationary wide shot, put it on a selfie stick for unique intro shots and super up close against the skin panning up the body to add personal touch up close feel. Nothing else :2 cents:

I put mine on the floor pointing up for a secondary angle for various fetishes, foot worship, domination, giantism, etc. Was perfect for that and I didn't have to worry about a model stomping on it.
