Each hosting provider offer the service some from free to $$. Is there any cheap independent provider for SSL certificate ?

I have couple website and if i could buy them in bulk that would the best solution for us :) .

Thanks :winkwink:

Robbie 02-08-2017 06:57 PM

Mojohost (who I host with) have a free solution.

If your hosting company hasn't gotten up to speed... you can get fairly cheap SSL certs at Go Daddy.

They have different kinds. If you have multiple domains (like I do) then purchase a SAN SSL Cert

Dreamhost and Hawkhost offer free SSL and it's very simple to set up. I'm there are plenty of others now.

ruff 02-08-2017 11:12 PM

Why wouldn't you just google it. ssls.com by Namecheap.

Andreweb 02-09-2017 01:51 AM

I have some from namecheap for 10$/year and for some sites that I host at hawkhost I have free SSL from them! Also I use for a website Cloudflare as CDN and they also offer free SSL!

AllAboutCams 02-09-2017 02:01 AM

Ok, so you google'd it and found one that costs $. Others here have offered one that is FREE. It can matter a lot if you have many domains.

No, I didn't google them, I use them and I use Let's Encrypt. You will see that you get what you pay for regarding SSL. Let's Encrypt works very well if your host installs it for you. Try it yourself if you want to waste hours of time trying to figure it out, then use Namecheap and pay to do it yourself easily. Not all of your domains can be encrypted, but you can figure that out on your own.

ciriac 02-09-2017 08:21 AM

Lets encrypt :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

femdomdestiny 02-09-2017 09:31 AM

I've just figured out that a test site already has SSL coming with a free WP plugin from Cloudflare that was recently installed. So what should I do now? Because there is also a regular http version at :

Femdom reviews - Femdom site reviews with femdom photos and videos

You have to redirect your site to https ASAP because Google see your http and https versions as different sites with equally content. Just add this on your .htaccess

Code:

RewriteEngine On
  RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !on
  RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI}

And check your site on Android device.

jaanB 02-10-2017 12:20 AM

Just bought one at Namecheap for $9.90 (ComodoSSL)

Thanks...why to check on android? I had some problems with coding but I thought it was solved. Tested on few devices here

bgmen 02-10-2017 10:04 AM

Because sometimes Android doesn't recognize valid CA certificates and directly blocks access to sites. I was speaking generally, not specifically to your site. This is a mandatory check for anyone who installs a new certificate.

I love that content is it yours? If so, very awesome, love that niche and quality of your content!

femdomdestiny 02-10-2017 07:27 PM

thanks. Yes, I am in the process of reviving that site. Maybe 15 reviews are done in this moment. Others are standing there for many years. They are filled with errors (typos and wrong data). Should be done in a few weeks. Want to concentrate on that again. Need to find someone to do me a logo.

Do you know if it is possible to use Lets Encrypt SSL on a server with sites that have a real SSL? As in cert and dedicated IP? I think I was told by Mojo not possible.

Google will still show a warning if you have non-secure links on your site.

You'll have a big problem if you switch to https. First of all, check your site template - there are lots of links to http images, for example http://femcams.com/images/body_bg.jpg. But the main problem is with your chat window - it's under flash and flash is always insecure.

So, edit your html templates, and ask Chaturbate for HTML5 chat window.

Yes, I am on Mojo Host with a couple of servers.

On the server with my free sites I had already had a SAN SSL Cert on all the sites but one.

And since I didn't have any more spots left on the SAN I had them do the final site with Lets Encrypt.

And as Brad (owner of Mojo) said in one of the previous replies...they have a script that auto-renews the Let's Encrypt SSL for you so it's hands-free. :)

ErectMedia 02-11-2017 02:57 PM

Have a handful from namecheap. :2 cents:

Thank you for that info. I have to see how that will work. Mojo is the best!
