Server problem - need opinion

I host my websites with OVH and server went down. They replaced motherboard, CPU and RAM. This is they answer:
"The server gets stuck during the boot phase, with the message:
(setting up /tmp...)
A restart on the standard OVH kernel ('netboot') does not correct the
situation.
Actions:
Rebooting the server to "rescue" mode (Linux)
result:
Boot OK. Rescue mode accessible.
recommendations:
Configuration / error to be corrected by the customer"

I talked with my management team and they gave me this answer:
"I checked the logs and nothing was changed prior to this happening. I also mounted the drives and all the data appears to be there and I disabled the firewall just in case. I tried rebooting but it still does not boot up. The only way to properly debug this is with KVM access."

Did you had in the past similar problems with your server? Can you share or give a hint about the solution?

If they have the data - just change the server or go with a scalable cloud server...

Do you have network access in rescue mode or are you going through the IPMI console?

I would get another server and transfer everything to another server.

Also, not sure your architecture but you might want to consider using a Load Balancer and having multiple servers so that it is more fault tolerant.

The newer stuff I'm building on OVH uses Docker and has 3x redundancy for everything. Very easy to scale / add capacity as well. Just add nodes.

A properly designed site assumes at least 2 servers can fail simultaneously and there be no interruption. Unfortunately, most of the software out there assumes there is only 1 server and it is impervious to failure.

I can connect to the server in rescue mode, but there is not much to do, so I will try to access through KVM/IP.
For the future I might consider to use scalable solution. With the serve didn't had any problems till now, but I might consider for an upgrade, so changing would be a solution too.
Thanks for the feedback.
