The legend is back - Nokia to bring back 3310!
:thumbsup
Nokia to bring back historic 3310 |
My everyday phone is a Nokia 2310 and I fucking love it. The battery lasts a week, no kidding.
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...2310_front.jpg Mine is grey / white but it's basically the same. The other great thing is I get a signal everywhere. I have used loads of smartphones over the years and can't seem to get a signal. This bad boy works everywhere. It's small and light. Really, the best phone ever. |

For some reason I don't believe. They will make it looking similar, but it will be a way different device...

3310 ftw :thumbsup

They don't make phones like these anymore.
You could chuck a Nokia across the room and the worst that would happen would be the battery falling out. Think about it. A phone that you don't need to charge every day or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 but on the seventh day you could plug it in for 10 minutes and you are back to full charge. |
I hope they bring it back.

I miss snake.

a refurbished one goes for like 20$ on ebay...

i used to have a 6300 for many years, it was one of my all-time favs :) |
I found my old Nokia 3310 in the drawer... it's been there since 2002 maybe?! And it still has 2 bars of battery. :D

Nokia was a great company that fell behind
I remember my company working on industrial prototypes of this Nokia 9000 Communicator Must have been around 1994 as they first released them in Europe in 1996. Way ahead of its time, it never came to the USA. But now i see a few of them on e-bay, for around $85.00- $650 way more than the original price. Great phone for its time but weighed a ton @ 14oz, it was like carrying a brick in your pocket. I might just buy one for old time sake?

Something does not sound right, unless they had completely different battery technology that is physically not supposed to lose charge as batteries of today. |
|
Can not watch porn on it, so I say not

The phone went dead after a week and I plugged it in for about 10 mins (turned off). When I switched it back on it was back up to full charge. I don't think we realise how much things have changed and how much power always online internet, GPS, camera, Facebook, Games etc etc take. |
snake was good :winkwink:
|
clever marketing ploy :2 cents:

Charging up time actually improved with time, and even now you can not full charge a dumb phone in 10 minutes. Let alone back in 3310 times. |
