Can I remind you that Trumps ex campaign manager Paul Manafort has been under FBI investigation since last spring? You can bet part of that investigation is survailing his communications if they found anything alarming, and communications of others linked to him, like Flynn.

Survailing Russian inteligents officials is standard intelligence procedure, as is survailing communications with ambassadors. This is how this info was leaked. So no, I don't think anyone's rights were violated.

Some Leaks are illegal, other leaks are not illegal and whistle blowing is not illegal, it's a fine line.

Republicans in power are letting this happen. There is so much infighting in the Republican party and Trump has clearly been compromised. Trump is erratic and contradicts himself in the same sentence. Trump can't answer a single question without going off topic about winning the election, etc. etc.

These leaks benefit the opposition within the Republican party that want Trump gone. The leaks won't impact the future gathering or sharing of intelligence. Leaks have always happened in every administration. Trumps leaks are unprecedented because he's purposely devisive within his own party and trashed all intelligence agencies, he did it again today, so his opponents within the Republican party are getting info from inteligence agencies and leaking it :2 cents:

Just so we on same page i am pro Trump i do not trust anyone on the left or right. I feel safe to say we both agree Paul Manafort was a piece of shit. I think these leaks benefit both party's and they both want Trump gone. I do not see a impeachment but i do see a possible Kennedy pulled on him. But if the government is listening in on private citizens calls again this is a huge issue for all of us.

Trump was pretty cool before he got hijacked by Putin via Manafort and started pulling the "Obama wasn't born in America" BS. Please remember that Manafort created Trumps WHOLE political team (3 of which have quit due to ties with Russia). Trump has been guided down a dark back road.

I like Trumps illegal immigration stance. I like that Trump is concerned about terrorism. I like that Trump said he wants life to be better for all Americans. I like that Trump said he wanted to drain the swamp. I like that Trump said he wasn't going to take shit from China or Iran.

President Obama sent his guy to Moscow to discuss improving relations before he had even won the election.
But since it's Trump... the establishment is coming after him like there was a crime committed.
And the media doesn't report that it's standard operating procedure for an incoming official to begin talks with their counterparts in other countries.
And the media has conveniently "forgotten" that then Sen. Obama not only sent his guy to Russia before the election even happened, but also did a"world tour" and met with a dozen or so leaders to discuss policy changes he would make...all while he was still just a candidate for President.
Not only is it standard operating procedure, but it's smart to do.

1) National Security Advisor Flyn spoke to Russia and lied to the Vice President about the subject & content of the conversations.

2) Trump learned 3 weeks ago that National Security Advisor Flyn had lied to the VP and did nothing, condoning lying to the VO.

3) After the media reported this, only then did Trump ask for Flynn's resignation.

Trump knowing Flynn lied, and initially doing nothing, means he either instructed Flynn to lie to the VP or Flynn was acting on Trumps orders to talk with Russia before he was president (coluding with the enemy), which Trump has denied.

Either way it traces back to Trump and the story has legz, investigations have begun, and it will be a slow drip drip drip while political death by a thousand cuts. You're cute and talented Nico-T but still haven't grasped American politics or laws yet.

I'm all for a wait and see approach to this issue. I think liberals going insane with speculations as to what exactly happened is nuts. That being said, you just asked 5 questions about leaks when the ENTIRE issue here is about possible dialogue with russia by someone running for office. Your government has the right to investigate anything that they deem as a threat to homeland security, and that is a clear example of it and warrants further investigation.

Me? Obsessed? Maybe... but its hard to get away from the guy. He's on every new channel up here, all of the time. Plus I have to admit, I'm scared of the guy and what he will do to not just my American friends, but to the whole world. What's going on is seriously fucked up in my opinion, and I'm nervous.
