ebay help...

Hey I just clicked one of those "buy it now" links. It's my first time back to ebay in years. And I signed up and did all that bullshit, so as far as I can tell everything is good to go.

I clicked that link, and it's been in that "processing" screen for like 15 minutes. It says not to click it twice, but god damn, how long does it take? I don't want some other jackass to get this item, it's already way to fucking expensive as it is.

It's a book that goes for $450.00 on Amazon.com.

So, how long does that, "buy it now" shit usually take? Should I hit back and try it again?

I really fuckin' want this book.

freeadultcontent 04-11-2003 08:50 PM

Yes, since it takes you to paypal to pay it ussually.

psyko514 04-11-2003 08:50 PM

hit back and try it again.

Stashi 04-11-2003 08:50 PM

Hey RedShoe ...

Id say "X" out of it and go back into it ... hitting "back" may fuck it up.

BTW what book costs $450.00 ????

Funbrunette 04-11-2003 08:51 PM

What book is that for $450.00???

psyko514 04-11-2003 08:52 PM

While you were sitting there waiting for the page to load, I found the auction and bought the book.

freeadultcontent 04-11-2003 08:52 PM

Is it a lil black book?

Stashi 04-11-2003 08:56 PM

Are they for real?!?

$16,500 for a fucking book?!? AN OLD BOOK?!?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ategory=22 30

Can someone explain why this book would even be concidered for such a high market?

Thanks.

It's a collector's item, dude. Same reason a baseball/hockey card can go for that much.

The price is based on whatever someone is willing to pay for it. If someone wants to pay $16.5k for that book, then it's worth $16.5k

RedShoe 04-11-2003 09:08 PM

wow. Thanks guys, I hit back and did it again, the process was instant. Gotta love the new T1 line. :)

Now... The only problem is that I fucking panicked, and while I was waiting... I put in a bid for the same book from a different seller. FUCK!! I just bought the book, and now I'm the highest bidder on a second copy, ans the auction ends in about an hour.

get snipe (search ebay for it) it will 99% make sure you win

freeadultcontent 04-11-2003 09:21 PM

Well let the seller and ebay know and retract the bid.

RedShoe 04-11-2003 09:51 PM

I dunno, at the price I'm paying, it's a steal. I could literally sell one to cover the cost of both since I snagged the "buy iy now" one up at only $220.00

The book gets 5 stars on every major list and has been out of print since '77.

Carrie 04-11-2003 09:54 PM

Fuck it, if you've got the money, buy it anyway and immediately put it up for auction. The folks who were bidding on the auction you're about to win will come bid on your auction, and more intensely, since they won't want to lose out a second time.

Centurion 04-11-2003 09:56 PM

Well I'm still looking for a buyer for this ONE & ONLY one copy ever made! It'll keep you on the edge of your seat forever!
HURRY before the auction ends!

When you find out that it's all hand written, and with a quill dipped in ink at that, you'll finally realize a MASTER piece when you read it!:)
