MSNBC Anchor: "Our Job" Is To "Control Exactly What People Think"

no surprise, similar thing i've been saying about CNN for weeks now -

The media's job is to tell us the news. But more and more they are telling us people's opinions of the news. I don't want panels to debate the news; I want the fucking news. I don't want a spin on the news, I want the news.

Morning Joe is a REPUBLICAN talk show, with republican pundints, and a huge supporter of Trump throughout the election, so yes, "controlling exactly what people think" is their motto for republican minions like you :2 cents:
HINT: If you're going to obsess about American politics from the U.K., at least know who, and what the fuck you're talking about time waster! I have heard that less than 300 people control over 90% of the media in the USA

Everyone please reference Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi propaganda machine, Mein Kampf and The Rise And Fall Of The Third Reich. What is the definition of "fascism"?
Those in power saw what the Nazis did and thought, 'Hey if we just tone it down a notch, do it slowly and distract people, these tactics will work for us, too. The problem with the Nazis is Hitler was a nutjob, that's all." Same exact tactics. Time to wake up people. Oh wait - ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Nevermind. Carry on. |

You could just as well have put "Obama" in place of "Hitler" and you would have described how Republicans felt during the Obama administration. And you could have put "Bush" in place of "Hitler" and described how Democrats felt during the Bush admin. Apparently ANY leader that does ANYTHING that the other "side" doesn't like: Instantly "Hitler". Worst argument of all times |
All I know is, Hitler lost. So why anybody would model themselves after him is beyond me. Trump's ex wife just came out and said trump slept with Hitler speeches by his bedside.

Could you imagine anybody sleeping with ANY speech. :1orglaugh Some of the stuff is beyond ridiculous. I've read some of Hitler's speeches and watched some of them on History Channel. I'm pretty sure we all have because of curiosity and wanting knowledge of the biggest events of the 20th century (WW1 and WW2) Never heard of anyone who kept speeches by their bedside. LOL What would be the purpose? To re-read them every night. :error It's like the religious idiots who re-read the Bible their ENTIRE lives. lol. FYI: The text in the Bible is still the same as when those morons read it the first time. Why the fuck would ANYBODY want to re-read over and over the same damn thing? Much less sleep with it at their bedside. Do people really believe this kind of stupidity? |
I agree it's stupid. But I believe dudes wife. I doubt he read them though. Just like the Bible, people sleep with them shits by their bedside but can't recite a damn sentence from it.

Joe is a republican and she is the liberal
she misspoke... the news gives us the facts....Trump is giving his OWN facts... My favorite thing about Morning Joe is they have BANNED that kelly ann conway for being such a lying whore |

no, your job is to report the news only. your opinion means jack shit

Then he'd have guests on they'd say a couple sentences and he'd interrupt and talk the whole remaining segment. Why have guests on if you don't let them talk and you're going to dominate with diatribe after diatribe WTF? I'm glad they banned Conway, all she does is gloat, lie and deflect. Morning Joe was the first high profile show that had Trump on and promoted him daily, and has him on live a couple days a week defending him and giving him unlimited access to their platform. Joe later admitted that he's close friends with Trump and he and his family spent the last 5 new years at Mar-a-largo with the Trump family. |

I am saying Trump - along with many other leaders, including Bush, Reagan, Clinton and Johnson - are using the Nazi STRATEGIES and TACTICS for control. They are using the same playbook, if you will. Keep the people insulated and ignorant. Keep the people distracted by falsehoods and meaningless arguments. Keep the people docile by financially entrapping them so they cannot afford to protest. Keep the people stuck in their beliefs, ignoring reality and facts. Keep the people divided - "us" against "them". On and on. No, Trump is not "Hitler". He (along with most post-1945 politicians) saw how the Nazis took over and controlled Germany and use those same tactics, albeit in a less-dramatic, less-"Hitler" way. If people do not see these patterns and strategies and fail to stop them then...we all get what we deserve. |

Just the same ones that have been used for centuries based on "The Prince" by Machiavelli written in the 1,500's. We were taught all of that in Western Civ classes in high school. Remember? There are always basic truths on how to do anything in life. And yeah, to be a leader and get people to follow you...those basics never change. |

It's more the Goebbels' propaganda tactics we see now, especially in this info/technology world we live in now. Those principles and tactics work much better these days via a State-approved (tho not 'sponsored') media. |

And I think the media started becoming lap dogs to the govt. once they were "embedded" with the troops during the Bush Administration. It was definitely the exact OPPOSITE of the hard-hitting coverage of the Vietnam War. The media all wanted those coveted spots "embedded" with troops. So all the reports coming back were all about the "Heroes" of the American military. Wasn't until Abu Ghraib that any real negative reporting started coming out. And that was only because CBS News was wanting to help John Kerry beat Bush in the 2004 election. Until then...they kept that story under wraps. :( |
Welcome to the REAL world.
The press has always had an agenda. Political parties lie. Governments lie. Businesses scam and lie. Unions scam and lie. The press distorts the truth to suit the agenda of the reader/viewer. It is YOUR JOB to discern the truth in all of this noise -- it always has been. You either figure it out yourself or by someones lie (or truth) :2 cents: |
