Who wached the Donald's speech
to congress tonight and what did you think about the speech delivery and content?
|
Haven't watched it, but he seems to be getting high marks for it.
But his bar is set so low, as long as he doesn't drop his drawers and shit on the podium he'll get a decent review. |
At last America has a true president!
|
I am surprised more Americans are not offended by his narrative.
But then I suppose he has to convince enough people that everything is broken before he can tell y'all how only he can fix it. Bigly. . |

There was a new season available of Zombie Nation on Netflix so I watched that and listened to that ...
The Chump was on monitor 2 in closed caption. I read hyperbolic promises, pleas to 'like' me and typical Trump bullshit. Zombie Nation made sense in context. Zombie Trumpsters UNITE! Welcome to 1980 |
He was absolutely amazing
Some are calling this the greatest speech OF ALL TIME |

Even Van Cuck said it was the greatest ever!

If you have seen one Trump speech you've seen them all..
I took the liberty of writing a Trump speech.. "I'm great everyone, really really great, I'm so great I'm going to make MERICA great too. MANGA and stuff blahh, blahh, blah, they just don't get it but you do, you people all the special ones..MAGA.." Repeat 4 or 5 times or until 20 minutes has gone by.. |

In all fairness most presidential speeches are 90% pandering to voters.
I judge a man by what he does. Most people accomplish nothing -- this 'speech' was for them :2 cents: |

I learned one thing : he can read !:) |
I did not watch it; I don't have that kind of free time.
The speech seemed to have gone well, but all of it was lies. ALL of it. Just for example, he said that 94 million Americans are "no longer in the labor force". Well, yes. He is trying to give the impression that 94 million Americans are unemployed, which completely false. There is a bigly difference between being out of the labor force and being unemployed. My mother, for example, is not in the labor force but is not unemployed - she is retired. My best friend John hasn't been in the labor force for two decades, is not unemployed, and not retired - he is medially disabled. I haven't read all of the news reports about his speech this morning, but that was one example that I did have time to read this morning. The funny thing is this will bite him in the ass later on. More and more Americans are falling out of the labor force and are not being replaced. The baby boomers are retiring, and my generation did not create as many babies. This is a trend that will continue for the next two decades. No matter what happens with the unemployment rate, Americans in the labor force will continue to drop. |

You have been wrong about EVERYTHING the past two years, cucky boy. The real unemployment rate is somewhere between 25% to 50%. Look at all the traffic and people out during the day |

That is why I watched Zombie Nation -- A pack of lies are not inspiring.

They all have money for cars and gas to look for jobs.
Thanks Obama Trumpanzees are so fuckin' stupid. |

Thing is that the number of 94 million is bigger than it has ever been, it has grown to that huge number, it relates to the workforce participation rate which is at it's lowest since Carter was in office. |
True president delivered a great speech.

Quote:
YES, it is getting larger. Yes, it will continue grow. This has NOTHING to do with unemployment, or the number of people employed. My mother is not part of the labor force, but it is not unemployed. She is retired. She is not working because she is retired. In the United States, we have 87 million people are who are retired, disabled, students, or stay at home parents. These people are not unemployed. This number will continue to grow. It's simple math. More people are retiring than are moving into the labor force. |

I'm a Brit so try to watch the mad orange bastard objectively. This mild improvement seems to cyclical, he goes off the rails for a month, the PR people finally convince him to just read the bloody speech they've written and he does it. Approval goes up, he gets cocky and starts spouting despotic twaddle again. I'm failing with the objectivity obviously.
|
I watched it and I thought it was the best speech I have seen him give (admittedly I haven't seen a whole lot of his speeches). He seems to do pretty well when he sticks to the script and doesn't go off on tangents.
That said, it wasn't anything new. He basically said the same things he has been saying his entire campaign. He did lay out his plan for the near future, but now he has to actually go out and do it which won't be as easy. On the bright side, he looked and sounded presidential. Let's see if he can keep that up. If he is trying to restart things this is a good place to start, but if he turns around and has another cluster fuck of a press conference in the near future he may undo what good he has done. |

Anyone can give a speech. The time for speeches is over. Now he has to do it. Which he isn't doing. |
Most these speeches are just political horseshit -- taking them too seriously is an error.
Some of Trump's fabrications are so bizarre -- I seriously have to question his sanity. If he knows that it is total bullshit and he is just trying to sell it to a gullible public that is one thing ... |
Quote:
Exactly ... Crockett could have delivered that speach and sound presidential :1orglaugh You would do a test on the content of the speach today , and he could not recall half the stuff ... And this is not just for him, but for all politicians . PS: where is the outrage of the usage of a teleprompter , like during Obama,s terms ? |

And if you paid attention to the speech, he doesn't give a fuck about you foreigners, he said he's president of America, not Slovakia and not the world. If he could stop all immigration he would to save American jobs. |

That number of LABOR FORCE PARTCIPATION is NOT counting people "retiring". It is the number of people who are of the age group to be in the workforce. WTF is wrong with you that you can't grasp that concept??? Has NOTHING to do with people retiring at all. Now if you want to quibble with what he said...it DOES include college students for instance. My daughter goes to UNLV. And many of them don't work. My daughter DOES have a job however....and MOST of the students there do as well (turns out they like having spending money lol) It also includes the disabled. So you could argure that point. Though again...MOST disabled people have jobs. It also includes the mentally disabled. A lot of them don't have jobs....but a decent percentage do. So if you wanted to argue the numbers you could. But NOT by babbling AGAIN about retired people. They are NOT counted in the labor participation numbers. Neither are children...so don't be stupid and try to use that one in your next foolish argument. |

That is who you were just describing after all... |

You get the point. Some of the knee-jerk b.s. from these "anti-Trump" people is just ridiculous. They don't even have a clue as to what Trump campaigned on or what his vision is for the country. They just listen to the crap that the biased media (who actually COLLUDED with the Clinton campaign to try and beat Trump) spew out to them without ever bothering to learn for themselves. Like all the people saying they didn't even watch the speech...and then somehow thinking they are "knowledgeable" about it. It's useless for people like you and I to try and help them. The ignorance is just too strong on their part. And it's not that they are stupid...they CHOOSE to be ignorant because they are told by the media that it's "cool" to hate President Trump. :( |
