How many americans are jobless?
https://i.imgjar.co/jar/ETNFY6teIU2sNjh12Nf7ug.jpg
The answer isn't 94 million, its only 21 million as the rest don't want to work! I've never watched a NBC programme but it sounds like they are as bad as the bbc. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh |
lol "by choice"....
3,000 people didn't die on 9/11...only 1,500 did...the rest passed away or weren't heard from again |
10 million!
|
That statistic is used as a POLITICAL CLUB
There are many people who DON'T WANT TO WORK because 1) they're too young 2) they're in school 3) they're retired (many Baby Boomers) |
The 94 million includes college students and retirees.
I don't think those should count in the unemployment rate. |

Not children and not retirees. Yes, it does include college students. But 4 out of 5 college students HAVE jobs. It is bad here with jobs. The people who do have jobs have crappy jobs that don't pay. What we need is to get business BACK to America and stop outsourcing everything. |

Not about jobs, but living a good life
The point right now is not about jobs, but not able to live a good life to an expected standard.
Jobs are there, but they are so low that you can't afford a good life i.e. take a vacation, dining out in a restaurant, buying a car etc. On top of that, you just can't hike a salary because you really don't know whether you will survive or not. |

The solution? No quick fix but fair trade is a start. For example, China is a closed market; only 40 or so Hollywood films a year are allowed in, import taxes are sky high on Harleys and everything else. One way is to put the import tariffs on first and then negotiate back to fair trade. Lots more jobless than 5%. Closer to 20 or 25% if you count everyone who lost good paying work at $30 or $50 an hour and won't do Starbucks at $15. And Rockefeller Center based, GE-owned, NBC, can kiss my ass. |

Here it's this fucking simple If you can't count our use a computer for what it is made for -- why do you deserve a job anyway? |

The Labor Force Participation numbers show the exact true amount of people qualified to be in the work force (not retirees, not children, etc.) The numbers you are showing are the ones the Feds changed the algorithm for during the beginning of the Obama administration. The new algorithm doesn't count the people who are not "actively seeking work". Now how the govt. decides whether you are "actively seeking work" is kind of a mystery. But that is the way it works now. The unemployment numbers are not accurate. They tell a PARTIAL story. The story of how many people who are "actively looking for work" are employed. The rest of the story is told by the Labor Force Participation numbers...and those are the ones that Presidents, Senators, and Congressman REALLY look at in assessing the economy. Up until a few years ago...the number showed all the qualified work force and how many were employed in that total number. Do you understand? The numbers you are being fed are not accurate. That's why you are incredulous when people claim otherwise. Do some research. Don't just try to find stuff that agrees with your mindset. Look for the truth in the matter. It's real easy to find out. Here are some ideas for you: Google this phrase: "who is counted in unemployment rate" Google this one: "definition of labor force" And google this one: "actual people in labor force unemployed" Open your mind and take into account that you may have been misled by the politicians and media outlets you trusted in. |
those are the published statistics.
if they don't agree with you -- too fucking bad |
youre wasting your breathe with these shitlibs, robbie

Robbie can build his own sandcastle. I go by the numbers published. No one is paying me for my time to hypothesize to match a conclusion.
So, I don't give a fuck. |
