the GOP healthcare bill is an abortion
they are going to replace subsidies with "monthly tax credits"

dumb libs im on your side when it comes to GOP & healthcare. GOP are dumbasses. :upsidedow |
Horrible...
|
PS dumb libs. im not responsible. my trump vote doesnt count in the state of NY. i was disenfranchised by the electoral college voters of NY who ignored my vote!
:1orglaugh |
So far what they have released looks like a mess. It does nothing to deal with the rising costs of the healthcare which is the main problem with the healthcare industry as a whole. Also, it does little to keep people from just not buying insurance until they are sick or hurt then dropping it once they are well again. Not to mention, it may severely hurt the poor.
It will be interesting to see how people react once all the details are released. I have a feeling this may just be the first of potentially many drafts. |
Need to get government the fuck out of healthcare
|
please, dumb libs, give up the racist identity politics & violence on GOP & oppressing free speech & calling cops racist & burning the flag so i can vote for democrats again!
pretty far off from that dream. :upsidedow |

GOP Obamacare "replacement" is a 25-year-old straw man Well, I am in the highest bracket my costs will more than double if this goes down. Maybe I can buy a $15K deductible policy as long as pharmaceuticals are price controlled somehow ...:upsidedow |

AKA, they arent going to pass anything. the dems will not help the GOP get anything done, guaranteed. :2 cents: |
Stop giving people credits and subsidies. If they can't fucking afford it then they dont deserve it!
|
what did you think repeal obamacare on the first day meant?
|
The states will have to cut Medicaid or raise state taxes or individual counties will have to raise money with higher property taxes -- renters have property tax increases passed through in rent hikes.
Costs will just be transfered to the states. You will be taxed to pay for the lower income groups and the poor. Your costs if you are not subsided will go up it you are over 35. Meantime, Trump wants $54 Billion more for the military. This may get nowhere as the GOP will fragment badly < this is what I expect. That and the red-hats will toss Trump like a dirty shirt if, and when, they get the bill for this. |
Right out of the gate my health insurance will go from $190 to $1900. A month.
Holy shit. Watch what happens. People will drop healthcare, we'll have less insured then before, and the same exact fucking problems - high costs. This is batshit crazy. |
Quote:
Umm where did u come up with that increase?? pull it out of your ass again? |
The insurance companies are behind this once again no doubt.
|
Remember when Trump invited them (big insurance) to pow-wow in the White House. They didn't discuss the new curtains ...
|
Trump is just getting started assholes. It ain't gonna be the rich that takes the hit. It's going to be you, the shit-heels that voted the orange idiot into office. It's just dawning on you imbeciles what's going to happen? This is going to be a huge chuckle watching you fucktards try to find that rock you crawled out from under so you can hide again. That fucking GED ain't getting you a job at NASA. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

what would happen if many people drop or are refused insurance? Hospitals would lose money on unpaid and charitable care rendered and have to further increase their rates to the insured and those that can pay. This will trigger a severe healthcare cost inflation spiral. 20%+ per year. Employers that offer insurance will also see their prices rise sharply. This is why this is a strawman. The Republicans will not have 100% support in their own party and 0% support from the Democrats. The bill is probably DOA in its first 'Ryan' incarnation. |

Have to wait and see at this point. I think that this will drag on for months.

Something has to be done.
Obamacare is collapsing as we speak of it's own weight. Almost every insurance company has pulled out. Many states only have ONE left. The math NEVER added up. And right now we are at 20 TRILLION dollars in debt. So having the Fed print even more worthless money to pay so that everybody can freeload to get healthcare isn't really sustainable either. I have said since the first day that I saw Obamacare in 2009, that what was really needed was for the Govt. to STOP holding hands with Big Pharma, Big Hospital Corporations and Big Insurance that has allowed them to price gouge the American consumer. Nobody should NEED health insurance just to go to the doctor or fill a prescription. It's ludicrous. The only health insurance anyone should need is catastrophic insurance. Problem here is that you have Paul Ryan (a fucking politician who is bought and sold by the medical industry) coming up with this new plan. It will be no better than ObamaCare which was cooked up by another group of politicians who are funded by the same lobbyists. |

Hospitals, Drugs, Equipment, Insurance companies all take a slice off the top to pay shareholders. Great in a service where competition has a huge effect, awful when there is no competition. Build up the State Healthcare to a point where the Private owned are out of business. |

This is one hot potato that will cost a lot of seats in the house. The proposed changes will not go into effect until calendar year 2018 -- that is the mid-terms election year.
What do you think will happen? The effective date will be pushed forward to 2021+ after the next general election possibly. I don't expect any radical change in the immediate future -- it would be political suicide. Wouldn't it be something if Trump vetoes any obamacare repeal bill :laughing- The ultimate flip-flop ... |
Republicans took the task of making healthcare affordable for people with less money, and found a way to give tax cuts to their rich buddies. With every endeavor they undertake, the first thought is "how can we sneak some tax breaks for rich people in here?"
|
IDK if that chart is really right that I posted but it aligned with my own guestimate of my costs to come.
Interesting thing was that chart showed that the government cost (or public current or debt subsidy) increased -- who gets all that money would be my next question. I think this is a scam to pass more money to the insurance corporations at the publics' expense. It increase business costs for most and rewards a select few -- that is why this is doomed to fail IMHO. It is too inequitable. |

Obamacare is not perfect but it sure as hell isn't crashing.. The problem we have here is that you listen to right wing blahh blahh opinion shows to inform you of everything and your opinion is formed by people with an agenda that certainly don't care if you have affordable heath care or not.. Basically the right's plan is to make the cost so much, no one can afford it so it goes right back to the way it was with a small amount of people covered by insurance companies who can pick & choose their clients by profitability. Robbie will then say it's way better than Obamacare, until he gets cancer or some chronic illness then gets dropped and can no longer get insurance then he's claim the rest of his days while being bankrupted that it was all Obama's fault.. (yea I can predict the future) |
You almost have to have a SMS capable smartphone with a SIM to function in modern society.
Please tell me how the working poor can pay 1/3 of their income for healthcare and 1/2 their income on rent? What will they eat -- cardboard? Will Paul Ryan survive as Speaker of the House? We will see ... |

Remember the insurers are only dropping out of a few areas where they aren't making huge profits. In California we have tons of insurance options. Remember the thread where I linked to the insures increased profits last year and one was almost 100%? Hundreds of millions & billions in profits! Remember that NONE of the insurers have lost profit? Obamacare isn't collapsing, insurers are being greedy and allowed to pull out of less profitable markets. |
you should stop calling it healthcare insurance and start calling it by its real name: lubricant :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

The problem is...it's failing the people who need it the most in the areas with the most problems. I'm in agreement with what was said earlier (and Trump said on the campaign trail ironically for you): It's the price gouging on medical care and pharmaceuticals that is the real problem. I never used an insurance card in my LIFE to go to the doctor or even the hospital...until the last 8 years. I paid out of pocket. A doctors visit wasn't that expensive. Pharmaceuticals however were already 5 and 6 times more expensive here than anyplace else on Earth. Now? With millions getting govt. subsidized health insurance? The price gouging got exponentially worse. Think about it...if you had a medical supply company and the govt. suddenly opened the gates to UNLIMITED money...you would raise your prices by 300% right away. It's a gold mine. :( That is what needs to stop. What help is to millions of people to have ObamaCare if their premiums are sky high and their deductible is $6,000??? Fuck...I don't go to the doctor enough to EVER spend $6,000 in a year. And neither do MOST people. Which means they are now paying a big premium that is a drain on their household and getting NOTHING out of it except for being a statistic for the govt. to hold up and say: "Look how many people are insured now!" Yes, there are also people who NEEDED help. People with pre-existing conditions. But keep in mind that what we are really doing in those circumstances is welfare plain and simple. It's not "insurance" because there is nothing to insure against. The disease is already there and has to be paid for. In my opinion...we need to get those people OUT of the system of insurance. And just move them straight over to what they are already getting...free healthcare. And that is going to have to come straight from a govt. check to them. No insurance company middle-man. |

Health insurance should not be for medications or this or that. It should only be for things like heart attacks and broken legs |
I think the republicans are really on to something with these tax free health care accounts
here is what you do... SO SIMPLE..... just take $50,000 or $100,000 out of your regular account and open a health care account and it will be sitting there tax free for you to use for health problems. Get cancer? No problem, just take out $800,000 out of your regular personal account and move more to your health care account SO SIMPLE.... |
Based on what has been released today in the plan....since I have a pre-existing condition, and I'm not old enough to qualify for medicare, my insurance rates can be multiplied 5X over what a normal healthy person could get for rates. I also don't make enough on my pension from my company to qualify for tax credits, so the $1200 a month I currently pay (which is the currently allowed 3X ACA ceiling for preexisting conditions) will become approx $2000 a month. :thumbsup

What Congress needs to do is get the govt. out of the insurance business and instead...ban all lobbyists from Washington D.C. Then open investigations into why the United States citizens pay more for pharmaceuticals and medical procedures than anywhere else in the world. Get a few heads of the medical, pharmaceutical, and insurance companies behind bars and prices will come down real fast. Have you ever heard of or seen any of the "medical tourism" sites? It's unreal. The difference in pricing for heart bypass surgery is astounding for instance. You can buy a first class round trip ticket, stay in a 5 star hotel, get the procedure done and it still costs less than 1/4 of what it costs here in the U.S. And do people do it? Hell yes they do. If you ever get the chance to go to Tijuana...you'll see it first hand. The whole town is slammed with doctors offices and pharmacies. Every kind of elective surgery you can think of is done there at far, far less than in the U.S. And most of the doctors live in San Diego (U.S. doctors) and have offices in Tijuana. People come there from all over the United States to get procedures done. Plus you can walk into a pharmacy and buy Cialis, Viagra, testosterone, etc. OVER THE COUNTER with no prescription needed. And it's 1/10th the price of the United States. We have been getting ripped off since at least the 1970's. I remember reading news articles on this back in the mid-1980's when there was a big story about people going to Canada and back just to buy their prescription medication. Back then they were taking busloads of people across the Canadian border and back...just to go to the pharmacy. Did the U.S. govt. help these people by finding out WHY we are paying so much more? Nope...they instead made it ILLEGAL and pressured the Canadian govt. to put a stop to it and began stopping people at the border. THAT is what we have gotten from politicians in Washington D.C. :( |

Jesus you're a tool and I will continue to call you out on your constant BS because you are such a fucking tool. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh |

I don't need healthcare for the routine stuff. I am forty-eight years old, and while I am (still) over weight I never get sick and can't remember the last time I saw a doctor. It must have been about six years ago, for a routine check up (only because I hadn't had one in a long time), and they told me the only issue I had was a slight potassium deficiency and I knew that before the blood work. My wife is similar, although she gets sick, but never sick enough to see a doctor. My kid has had a few problems but nothing serious and nothing we couldn't handle without insurance. In fact, she broke her arm while I was unemployed in 2009 (?) and we paid for everything out of our own pockets. It wasn't nearly as much as one would think. We had an initial appointment, an x-ray, and they put a cast on. We had a follow up appointment, another x ray, and then weekly physical therapy for two months at $65 each. This might be a good idea Robbie... You only need insurance if you end up in the hospital for something serious. |
Some of us can afford a $15,000 deductible. Most people can't -- especially families with children.
All healthcare insurance policies should include low copays for semiannual checkups and needed tests. I would be happy with that. NP A choice -- sure |
They just ended catastrophic insurance for anyone 30 and older...what a fucking joke it really is all u need

This bill is going to change a lot over the next week's/months.
Just like when obamacare was created it's gonna be a bu'ch'of political grandstanding and drama. |
this could happen only in america because americans have such faith in their country..."its the best in the world" and people went along with it...hundreds of billions are siphoned out of the disposable income of americans and it "trickles up" to a few...everything has become a racket...healthcare, education, """"""""defense"""""""" , realestate, finance, prisons...all because of "we are the leaders of the free world we are #1 yeah!" :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh
its also amusing to see solutions like trumps seriously discussed :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh its like moving a piece of shit around a chess board and marveling his strategy...serious fundamental change is needed and it is nowhere in the horizon.... |
Quote:
If this is Trump's 'fantastic' healthcare for America then America will slide back. Obama care was intended to be ( or I had hoped to be) transitional. If the Republicans break it they will own it along with the political fallout. |
