Is South Africa about to make the same mistakes as Zimbabwe?
S Africa's ruling party, the ANC, after having lost several key local elections, is trying to shore up its base by touting the EXPROPRIATION of white S African lands without compensation. The land is to be given to landless black farmers.
Sounds familiar? This is what happened in Zimbabwe around 15 years ago and the Zimbabwean economy promptly tanked. Zimbabwe went from being the "Bread Basket of Africa" to, well, an economic basketcase. Proof? The Zimbabwean local currency sand to QUADRILLIONS to 1 US dollar.
Now... Zimbabwe is asking white farmers to come back.
Is South Africa poised to make the same mistake for quick political gains?

You are right about skipping the "black"-part from "landless farmer"... it's a pleonasm!
