In 1992 I worked for Pacific Bell. This was one of the baby bells that operated in California. Our office had about 400 employees, and they loved to bring in the latest tech to try them out.

One of them was a "video phone" that seems to be similar to what you posted here, although it looked much more like a common office phone. It was interesting - they set it up so we can talk to people in another office down in SoCal and it was on 24 hours a day for weeks.

It's like something you'd see at Radio Shack I used to love that store. They were the reason I wanted to go into robotics. They'd have solder and transistors out in bins and what you could make was only limited by your imagination.

I bought my Hero-1 robot there.
