No official position in the US Government, not being paid, has security clearance, an office in the White House, and "government-provided communication devices".

Without actually knowing, I suspect that it is a low security clearance. Enough for her to leave and enter the White House at will I would think is about it. You may of had a low security clearance when you were in the Corp. I think Classified is the lowest clearance.

It just doesn't make any sense to me. None of these people seem to have any political experience at all. I mean, she sells clothes and shoes - and in the process rips off the designs of other companies.

She needs a security clearance to come and go at her will to the White House. I am pretty sure that she does not have a clearance above that level, which is probably a clearance not above the level of Classified. You may of held a Classified clearance level when you were in the Marines, but from what you have said about your duties, I doubt it.
