So Trump's three round trips to Florida totaled about the same as Obama's yearly expenses? Common sense says NO.

Yes.. it was well documented his 1st 3 trips cost roughly 3.2 million each. Seriously we have gone over this many times and there are countless sources for why it costs so much..

It also cost the west palm beach sheriff's dept $60k a day for Trump to be there and they don't get that money back from the federal govt. Seriously this story is ridiculously easy to verify..

I am here in Broward County ( very near the Trump castle ) : tax dollars just spent to build an helipad so he can use Marine One from the WPB airport to Mar0-lago...
Also, WPB county will need to use the $$$ from the hotel tax ( now used to promote tourism, fix the beaches, etc ) to cover the incured costs of his presence, this as long as the county can change the rule of usage of those $$$

Local business are going belly up ( flight school, dry cleaner, etc ... ) ....

You're in Broward, where I used to live...without traffic it was about an hour drive for me to get from the stip in Lauderdale (lived in an apartment one block off the beach) to get to West Palm Beach.

I go down to Miami quite often now because of a mainstream biz I have has an office there. And I swear I-95 is STILL a parking lot.

There is a staggering difference between the two. Obama didn't go on vacation to Europe, he went on official business. Trump, on the other hand, is taking weekly trips to his resort to play golf.

Why do they need a helipad? A helicopter can land on any patch of grass. I don't even believe the White House has a "helipad", they just land on the lawn.

Whatever. This is past the point of ridiculous already. We spend millions of dollars a day in NYC for Trump Tower, and then millions of dollars each weekend in Florida now.

The burden of Trump's weekly trips are again, easily verified. I listened to an interview of a man who owns a business flying tourists around the sights who's fearing his business will go belly up. Why? Because every damn time Trump flies in, they have to shut down the entire fucking airspace for security purposes.

If you LIVE in Palm Beach and you are taking flying lessons...then why would you suddenly cancel your flight lessons in the middle?
I would think that you would continue working on your hours to get your license.

There are a finite group of people living in Palm Beach on any given year who are taking flying lessons. They didn't all suddenly decide to stop did they? That's my question.

So yeah, that's an understandable complaint.

The problem here for these flight schools would be that Pres. Trump heads down every weekend to get out of D.C.

Here is a story on the effect he is having on the aviation business in Florida. It isn't just flight schools that could have issues, but companies that do scenic flights, parachute jumps, crop dusting and others.

The difference between the issues of disruption when Bush went to his ranch in Texas or Obama going to Hawaii and Trump going to Florida is that those two didn't spend nearly every weekend there. Having to close down or run in a limited capacity for a few days while the POTUS is in town a few times a year is one thing. Having to do it nearly every weekend is another.

The inconvenience aside, his travel like this is also expensive. At this rate he is going to spend over $120 million just on travel this year alone. He says the country is so broke we have to make budget cuts, but apparently we can afford to taxi his ass down to Florida so he can play golf every weekend.

Think of the dollars he would save if only he decided to stay home watching tv...

But if it would save money, sure...he should stay in D.C.

The Federal Govt. spends 6.85 million dollars every MINUTE and we are 20 trillion in debt.
So yeah...anything that isn't necessary spending should be cut out.
