Trump to spend 7th consecutive weekend at Trump-branded property, at enormous cost to taxpayers
You people literally voted your tax dollars away. https://thinkprogress.org/trump-mar-...97a#.bswtmfnsk

That article is fake news.
It says for the third week: "The roughly $10 million Trump has already spent on unnecessary travel approaches the $12 million President Obama spent each year." So Trump's three round trips to Florida totaled about the same as Obama's yearly expenses? Common sense says NO. |

It also cost the west palm beach sheriff's dept $60k a day for Trump to be there and they don't get that money back from the federal govt. Seriously this story is ridiculously easy to verify.. |

Now Your boy trump has cost us what now 3 a million on weekend to go to FL to golf. Please tell me how that's the same. I will wait. "The three Mar-a-Lago getaways, combined with the hundreds of thousands of public dollars spent on Secret Service protection during two international trips Trump’s adult sons have taken to promote their father’s business, cost taxpayers about $11.3 million over the first month’s of Trump’s presidency, according to the UK-based Independent. President Obama, by contrast, spent an average of $12.1 million on travel each year." |

Also, WPB county will need to use the $$$ from the hotel tax ( now used to promote tourism, fix the beaches, etc ) to cover the incured costs of his presence, this as long as the county can change the rule of usage of those $$$ Local business are going belly up ( flight school, dry cleaner, etc ... ) .... But Obama ... and Obama... etc .... |

You're in Broward, where I used to live...without traffic it was about an hour drive for me to get from the stip in Lauderdale (lived in an apartment one block off the beach) to get to West Palm Beach. It was like living in another world to me back then. lol Palm Beach was so boring compared to Lauderdale back in those days. Do you have friends living in Palm Beach telling you about this? Or do you drive an hour every day to go to work in Palm Beach County? I go down to Miami quite often now because of a mainstream biz I have has an office there. And I swear I-95 is STILL a parking lot. I remember when they expanded it back in the 1980's and it was going to solve the traffic problem. Nope. |

Whatever. This is past the point of ridiculous already. We spend millions of dollars a day in NYC for Trump Tower, and then millions of dollars each weekend in Florida now. Of course we have to cover expenses for the entire fucking family now... Eric Trump’s trip to Uruguay cost taxpayers $97,830 in hotel bills – The Denver Post Trump kids, families to visit Aspen this weekend – The Denver Post This is bullshit coming from the man who used to bitch about Obama playing golf. |
get a friggin life

The George Soros website you linked to is not there to help us, they want us harvested and enslaved, all taxpayers money would go direct to Globalists. Soros has destroyed the economies of various nations, his website is not there to protect taxpayers money, only to divert it to globalists like himself

Security has to be tight. I was simply asking which flight school is going out of business? Doesn't make any sense to me. If you LIVE in Palm Beach and you are taking flying lessons...then why would you suddenly cancel your flight lessons in the middle? I would think that you would continue working on your hours to get your license. There are a finite group of people living in Palm Beach on any given year who are taking flying lessons. They didn't all suddenly decide to stop did they? That's my question. By the way, I don't need you to link me to something to explain real life. I live it. :) My question was in essence about if flight schools were "going out of business" because of the President's restricted air space on the weekends I can see where some people might take classes on Saturday and Sunday because they work during the week. So yeah, that's an understandable complaint. One that I'm sure was a problem for Dallas Airport when Pres. Bush went to his ranch. Or for the airport in Hawaii when Pres. Obama went there. The problem here for these flight schools would be that Pres. Trump heads down every weekend to get out of D.C. |
LOL...I just realized the subtle false insult to Pres. Trump in Mark's title of the thread.
He calls it a "Trump-branded" property...as if Trump doesn't really OWN it. heh-heh That is not true: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mar-a-Lago "Mar-a-Lago is an estate and National Historic Landmark in Palm Beach, Florida, built from 1924 to 1927 by heiress and socialite Marjorie Merriweather Post. Post envisioned the house as a future winter retreat for American presidents and foreign dignitaries, and following her death in 1973, it was bequeathed to the nation. However, successive presidents declined to use the mansion, which was returned to Post's estate in 1980 and in 1985 was purchased by Donald Trump, later 45th President of the United States." |

The difference between the issues of disruption when Bush went to his ranch in Texas or Obama going to Hawaii and Trump going to Florida is that those two didn't spend nearly every weekend there. Having to close down or run in a limited capacity for a few days while the POTUS is in town a few times a year is one thing. Having to do it nearly every weekend is another. The inconvenience aside, his travel like this is also expensive. At this rate he is going to spend over $120 million just on travel this year alone. He says the country is so broke we have to make budget cuts, but apparently we can afford to taxi his ass down to Florida so he can play golf every weekend. |
Think of the dollars he would save if only he decided to stay home watching tv...

As for how much money it costs for him to go to the Southern White House... I agree. He should pay for it himself. And probably gladly would ditch the Secret Service and fly his own plane if he were allowed to. But that can't happen now that he's President. So I agree...he should stay in D.C. and work. Yeah, he's working in Palm Beach too (I'm the same way...I work every weekend and holiday...I just like working) because Trump never stops going. But if it would save money, sure...he should stay in D.C. The Federal Govt. spends 6.85 million dollars every MINUTE and we are 20 trillion in debt. So yeah...anything that isn't necessary spending should be cut out. |
